Oops
Jenny could list dozens of scenarios she expected to see when entering the room, this is certainly not one of them. The phone call came around noon, while James was in an important meeting, she couldn’t possibly disturb him. But Jon’s voice sounded so tired, so weak - I think I’m burning up, Jen - that she promised to send James home. Instead she went herself to see how Jon was coping with the flu. And now she’s torn between laughing and covering her eyes.
Seeing Jon sprawled on the bed naked is certainly unexpected, as is his muttered “I got bored”.
