(no subject)
So, 2006 ended with a bang. Kind of. More of a crunch, I guess.
I was chewing some gum about 20 minutes before the ball dropped. All of a sudden, I hear *CRUNCH* and in my mind I'm like, "What the hell was that?"
Well, I spat my gum out and low and behold, part of my tooth is stuck in it. I'm pretty much freaking out at this point. A few months ago I had had the tooth drilled & filled (excuse the sexual innuendos with that phrase) by my dentist. Well, it looks like she fucked up and cracked the tooth in the process. It appears that the only thing holding it together was the filling stuff. Fantastic!
So, I was walking around pacing for about 20 minutes or so because the root was exposed to air and it was hurting like a motherfucker. I took a Vicoden and calmed down quite a bit. Luckily, my uncles new girlfriend is a dental assistant and my other uncle had temporary filling material which she used to patch me up until I can get it fixed.
Tomorrow I get to go and get it looked at and most likely prepare the tooth to get a crown placed on it.
Hopefully 2007 ends with something better next year and the year itself is better than this one (not that this year was bad, just relatively monotonous to me).
