While the maid powdered his wig and helped James in his jacket, she noticed how the only things alive were his soft, gentle seeming eyes. When his hand twitched walking through the dark alleys to Beckett’s mansion, she of course didn’t know that James had imaged her being his wife and holding her close. Imagined how life must be like with somebody that stays with you, come what may. Somebody to shower affection on. James rolled his eyes, he should have been born a girl. No man could deal with as many emotions, no wonder Jones cut his heart out.
