HOLY CRAP! Yes, I think that adequatly sums up this day! It definitely is another contestant for "The Berst Night of My Life" title. But I'm going to try my hand at chronology this time, can't promise I'll manage, though, bc the impulse to just shout "OMG I SAW MY FAVOURITE ACTOR AND HIS BOYFRIEND AT THE MAGIC MIRROR TENT" (a place dedicated to homosexual themes apparently). Erm, yeah, so that's what I shouldn't be doing... *looks guilty* I think the certain someone behind me, happily munching on some cake should try to stop me from jumping in time again.
Whatever, cake is way more important than blogging. Also, HELP I'm in a room with a stalker. *iz scared*
So today our only outing was back to Sziget festival. We went much earlier this time, and chilled out a lot. We watched some people power some amps by cycling so this guy could do an awesome one man band thing with a guitar and some electronic equipment I don't know the name of, then we went and bought a certain someone a Sziget T-shirt, then we went to the blues stage for a bit, then to the travelling fun-fair to watch acrobats and jugglers and the like... Seriously, this festival has EVERYTHING. Then, I did what shall be my entry into the "why I'm a really really good friend' competition... I sat through an hour and a half talk on homosexuality in Hungarian... Yeah. Suffice to say I didn't understand a word.
Indeed. I was really quite impressed and grateful bc the talk was really interesting. 5 guys analized the current sutuation of homosexuals in Hungary in the light of politics and all sorts of other aspects, it was great. There was a really creepy aspect to it, though, one of the men was a doppelganger of one of my teachers at Uni. For a while I was convinced it was him but then they called him a different name, so they must be brotheers I suppose. Anyway, it was really nice, and I'm proud of Sziget (unfortunately I can't say "my country" in this case, really) for having a separate tent dedicated to gay themes! *pats Sziget* Oh and the shirt looks AMAAAAAAAZING! *bounces*
Then you have to wear out in public sometime then won't you?
So then it was time for the music. First up, Billy Talent, a Canadian band whose lead singer was just adorable! I want to put him in my pocket and take him home with me. I didn't really know any of their music but the name seemed familiar so I wanted to see them (although I do still have my suspicions that it only seems familiar because it's kind of similar to Biffy Clyro), and I'm glad we did because they were really rather good.
After they finished there was a bit of a break before the next band, so of course that meant it was time for cocktails, not just any cocktails, COCKTAILS IN A BUCKET!!! My life is now complete. It was yummy and so fun to be drinking out of a bucket. We have of course kept the bucket and intent to use it for sandcastle building later in the week. We'll keep you posted.
I second all of the above again. Billy Talent=BRILLIANT, the lead singer was to die for, like an overexcitable little boy. And the cocktail was really awesome. Yes, a certain someone is totally and utterly corrupting me. *nods* Not that I mind, really, now I have photos of me drinking alcohol to scare my parents. RESULT! This was of course the most alcohol I ever consumed (not just in one go but probably ever in my life) and I kept thinking "I don't feel a thing", then I realized I just simply felt better in my skin, which was great, also, I kind of can't decide if the ever so slightly wobbly nature of the ground later as I was fighting my way through to a toilet has anyting to do with the alcohol or just the mud and the INSANE crowd! I'll leave you to decide that. :P
So all the time we drinking the cocktails we were watching the next band, Kasabian. I had actually seen them once before kind of before they were really popular, so it was very interesting seeing them again with a huge crown of people who knew their songs instead of the handful of people who had never heard of them last time. So yeah, I thought they were rather good, better than last time, possibly because they've now got more money, who knows.
Anywho, so they finished, and a quick toilet break later and it was time for the headline act, who I'd been douncing off the walls with excitement to see, Muse!
HOLY SHITTING CRAP PEOPLE THEY WERE AMAZING!!! Those guys seriously know how to put on a good show. There were lazers and big light screens with videos on behind them... And they diid most of my favourite songs... And they were just... AWESOME!!! AMAZING!!! I'll shut up now.
OMG YES! They were amazing! I didn't know many of the songs but I loved the show, the atmosphere, everything. AND LIV, THEY DID TIME IS RUNNING OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *bounces around* So yes, definitely a concert to remember!
Then we fought our way through to the Magic Mirror tent again (literally, I don't think I've ever seen that many people in one place before) where they had this epic show with drag queens and rope climbing and STRIPPING GAY COWBOYS... am not shitting you. I kept thinking of CERTAIN PEOPLE on my friendlist who will absolutely love the videos we made. *nods* It was fantastic, and YES this is where I saw my favourite actor and his boyfriend and yes you had to hear that twice. I also made a really crappy stalker picture of them. I'm terrible, I know. :P And then we stayed for the party! I'm so so happy we didn't go to one of the other tents to dance bc I've had so much fun! The music was a riot and I really liked the fact that gay boys, lesbian girls and straight couples were all dancing together and having fun! Loved that!!!!!
So yes, this one has officially been gay clubbing now! What a rebel.
While we were in the tend boogy-ing it chucked it down with rain AGAIN, so when we eventually decided to crawl home at about 2am it was so so so SOOOO muddy. On the walk home our flip-flops flicked up loads of mud and covered the backs of our legs, it looks really funny. Well, I'm clean already, but a certain someone is still muddy. Just shows where her priorities lie... :p
So there you have day 3 in all it's glory. Ciao
P.S I did chicken out of bungee jumping in the end. I'm so ashamed of myself.
