The following is a really long conversation Vicki and I had about HP&DH. It's extremely disjointed, and did I mention long? But feel free to discuss lots in the comments. :D

Sunny: I like how cyclical it was. Teddy was Sirius, Harry was James.. they're all cousins.
Jaxxet: I wanted to know what happened to the Dursleys. :( I was sure they were going to be mentioned again.
Sunny: Oh, and Hermione's parents.
Jaxxet: I'm sure she went and fetched them.
Sunny: And I couldn't believe that the Death Eaters didn't go after the Weasleys more.
Jaxxet: How could they. ;-;
Sunny: I know, but you'd think Voldy would have more info.
Sunny: MY QUESTION.
Jaxxet: I am soooo disappointed Draco only had a tiny part, and there was no redemption. :|
Jaxxet: Although I love what he named his kid. ;))
Sunny: How did Dumbledore defeat Grindelwald in a duel when Grindlewald had the Elder Wand?
Jaxxet: Keeping it all in the family of dangerous creatures.

Jaxxet: The same way the people that had the Elder Wand were defeated before?
Sunny: No.
Sunny: They duelled.
Jaxxet: So.
Sunny: The other ones took it by stealth and then killed. It wasn't a duel.
Jaxxet: Man, they addressed this on the MuggleCast.
Jaxxet: I can't remember the reason though.
Jaxxet: Like there has to be a condition for the wand to be all powerful.
Jaxxet: I'll look it up right now!
Jaxxet: It's from Ollivander.
Sunny: You have to 'defeat' or take it by force from the previous owner.
Sunny: I thought.
Sunny: Which is why Voldy didn't have the power.
Jaxxet: See it says.

Sunny: But the very power of the Elder Wand is that it wins every DUEL it's in.
Sunny: It can still be taken.. like how the brother that got it boasted about it and then had his throat slit for his wand.
Sunny: That wasn't a duel.
Jaxxet: I guess it's a plot hole, then.
Sunny: Well, I'm sure there's a way out of it. It just wasn't mentioned.
Jaxxet: Yup.
Sunny: But I was a bit confused for that part. :P

Sunny: Harry actually was hot when he was in the final death match with Voldy. I loved it. He was Dumbledore-esque. =((
Jaxxet: And then Ginny and Harry lived happily ever after and made his parents.

Sunny: Well. Hot as in.. that's hot.

Jaxxet: When Voldy killed Harry, they both "died"?
Sunny: Uhh what now.

Sunny: YES VOLDY IN PERSON DID NOT DIE THEN.
Sunny: Voldy's last mini-Horcrux in Harry died though.
Jaxxet: BUT WHY DID THEY BOTH WAKE UP WHEN HARRY RETURNED.
Sunny: I read it as time paused while Harry was talking to Dumbledore, kind of.
Jaxxet: Oh.
Jaxxet: I sees. :|
Sunny: And it was like.. just after the Avada-ing, and they weren't sure if he was really dead.
Jaxxet: So instead of killing Harry's soul, he killed his own soul? :|
Sunny: Well, you know what I think.
Sunny: Harry did have all the Deathly Hallows, so he was able to conquer death.
Sunny: He had the stone, he had the cloak, and he had the power of the Elder Wand.
Jaxxet: WHAT.
Jaxxet: But.
Sunny: So.. I think it was that, plus that he accepted death.
Jaxxet: He dropped the stone. :|
Sunny: Yeah, but he "had" it.
Sunny: Kind of?
Jaxxet: But then wouldn't Dumbledore have had it too?
Sunny: He didn't have the Cloak when he had the ring and the wand.
Jaxxet: ;-;
Jaxxet: So Draco's wand has been the Elder Wand since Dumbledore was disarmed? O_o
Sunny: The power of the Elder Wand rested with Draco.
Sunny: I'm not sure that his wand became the Elder Wand.
Jaxxet: Well that's a lot easier than killing people. :|
Sunny: Well, if they weren't dead, they would come back for it. :|
Jaxxet: But then you could just duel themmmm.
Sunny: Draco just didn't know he had it.
Jaxxet: =((
Jaxxet: Poor Draco.
Sunny: Unless it was stolen from you when you weren't duelling. So you'd have to be on the constant look-out.
Jaxxet: I really wish Draco was in it more. :(
Jaxxet: It makes me sad.
Jaxxet: This book reminded me a lot of FanFics.
Sunny: It was more that they saved him. He was in bad shape though. :(
Sunny: I wish more of the Ginny/Neville/Luna antics at Hogwarts was covered.
Jaxxet: Neville.
Jaxxet: I don't like how not even Lucius died though.
Sunny: MALFOYS REDEEMED, kind of.
Jaxxet: Only Narcissa. :(
Jaxxet: I still hate Lucius.
Sunny: Lucius wasn't happy about having the Death Eaters at his place. :(

Jaxxet: Because he was all hesitating about identifying Ron and Hermione.
Sunny: Well, he helped a bit.
Sunny: Which was nice.
Jaxxet: Yes.
Jaxxet: I feel bad for Snape.

Sunny: Oh, the Canadian cover art is terrible.

Sunny: I can't look at Harry. It's just horrible.

Sunny: Poor Snape is right though. As much as he loved Lily, he hated James for taking her.. and then Harry just reminded him of James so much.. I don't know how he did it. :(

Sunny: My original guess as to the described look on Snape's face was because Dumbledore had asked him to kill him and he hated himself for doing it.
Sunny: But I never imagined the circumstances.. like that Dumbledore would have died anyway.
Sunny: And do you think he knew that Harry would survive the purging him of Voldy killing?
Jaxxet: Yeah, I didn't get that either.
Jaxxet: But I thought that he was asking Snape to kill him too.
Jaxxet: Ummmmmmmmmmm.
Sunny: Or was that something he was willing to risk?
Jaxxet: Hmm.
Sunny: For all that he loved Harry, I can't believe he was just going to use him as a pawn.
Jaxxet: I don't think he knew of the Horcruxes.
Sunny: Was he doing the Hallows route right up until the 6th book then?
Jaxxet: WHAT?
Sunny: Well.. I don't know now.
Sunny: You'd think he could have made more progress on the Horcrux front if he'd wanted to.
Sunny: But I guess the Hallows urge got the best of him and that's what did him in.
Sunny: Not that he'd been looking for them the whole time.
Jaxxet: OH ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT DUMBLEDORE.
Jaxxet: I'M SO CONFUSED.
Sunny: Yes, most of that is Dumbledore.
Jaxxet: Wellllllll.
Sunny: Who do you think Snape told Voldy that his source was? Voldy had to know he was on the outs with the Order after killing Dumbledore.
Jaxxet: He didn't know there were multiple Horcricies. ;))

Sunny: Well, it was three kids that Bellatrix was duelling. :P
Sunny: I'm guessing they weren't using terribly advanced stuff.. Hermione wasn't much of a dueller.

Sunny: And Ginny and Luna could certainly throw basic stuff, but it's not like Bellatrix couldn't handle it.
Sunny: Now. Molly's wrath, way too much. :D

Sunny: They put like concepts in the department of mysteries, not like actual objects, it seemed.

Sunny: What they had written as a teaser was like the very end of the book.
Sunny: I was pissed.

Jaxxet: WHAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN IN THIS BOOK?
Sunny: It was all Dumbledore saying.. You've waited long enough, Harry. I'll explain everything.

Sunny: Except I thought it would be coming closer to the beginning, because it was put on the back cover.
Sunny: So I was really wanting this explanation, and was reading the book looking for it.
Sunny: And it was at the end.

Sunny: So the book reading part kind of got ruined.

Sunny: So that's why I want nothing to do with the book usually now until I've read it.
Sunny: I'm really glad the "kreacher is important" leak was dealt with quickly.

Sunny: I was confused how the tongue tying thing was going to stop Snape from letting others in.
Sunny: Couldn't he write it on paper like Dumbledore did for Harry?
Jaxxet: Maybe the dust thing would take care of everything else? :|
Sunny: But if it wasn't Snape that went in, they easily could have gotten the codeword out by mistake somehow.
Jaxxet: Or maybe he couldn't write those words, there were just no physical effects they could feel.
Jaxxet: There are so gonna be a ton of Fanfics about the kids at Hogwarts. :(
Sunny: There better be. :(

Sunny: There was a whisper of speculation that JK might write more after this. I was wondering how that would even be remotely possible, but then with the kids...
Jaxxet: I doubt it.
Jaxxet: I thought the only thing she said she'd write is an encyclopedia type thing.
Sunny: I don't know if it would be good to ruin the cyclic-ness though. She'd have to make different things happen, and it wouldn't be as compelling, and would ruin the circle effect in the 7th.
Jaxxet: It reminded me so much of fics I've read. :(
Sunny: With all the OTPs being together?
Jaxxet: No, like camping in the woods and taking turns watching.
Jaxxet: I've read fics like that. :P
Sunny: Oh god. Oh god. I just had a horrible thought.
