Batman Begins

It was a weekend of movie fun! I saw Batman Begins twice this past weekend. Once at the theater in Brighton and again at the Celebration Cinema's IMAX Theater in the Lansing area.
The movie, I felt, was wonderful. Christian Bale was the perfect choice for Batman. Personally I think he's the best Batman to date. But then again I'm a huge Christian Bale fan and have been following his career since he did "Newsies".
Now you have to agree the Gary Oldman not only looked exactly like the comic book Commissioner Gordon but did a great job with the role. To be honest I was quite pleased with the casting for this movie with the obvious exception Katie Holmes.
She was by far a week link. It was difficult watching her trade lines with Bale. Her delivery for the most part was unconvincing. I felt as if I was watching Dawson's Creek everytime she was on screen. Her delivery still has a childish quality to it which made it hard to believe that she was a member of the law community in City. I also have a hard time watching her mouth when she talks. Half the time she's not moving her lips and talking out of the corner of her mouth. Then there's the head cock that she does with every line. Please tell me when they are going to cast a good female opposite the Batman role?
Other than my objection to the Holmes role I enjoyed this film and look forward to owning it when it’s released on dvd.
