My poor mooshy man is sick. He wasn't feeling well all last week, but he got bad enough that he had to take off on Friday. We still helped
agent0033 and
jenybean move on Saturday, but that just about killed him because he didn't move off the couch on Sunday. Then Monday morning we lost power, so there went going to work. In between all that I ran up the avenue on errands twice, getting thoroughly soaked once, and went on a major cleaning spree that included scrubbing every flat surface in the kitchen including the floor, so of course it was no surprise when I hit the wall at some point in the afternoon, and realized I felt drippies in the back on my throat. Son of a bitch. I'm living in tea at work today because I REALLY don't want to get sick.
I also ordered my Halloween costume, because I'm a psychopath like that. No, that's not the only reason; I also don't know what size I am in the dancing world, and I want to leave myself plenty of time in case I have to exchange anything or send anything back. Plus, even if it is the right size, I'm guessing that you have to break pointe shoes in. And if the costume is only a teensey bit too small, I want time to go on a regular diet to fit into it (and a crash diet the last two weeks of October, if the regular diet doesn't work.)
Holy crow my list of Planned/In Progress costumes is about to explode. All right, it's not really that bad, and some of them are reusable costumes.
ssfseiyakou and
moradoshinigami are doing Fruits Basket cosplay on Friday of NDK, and they may not have their usual Tohru. Since OPIB was talking about doing Fruits Baskets someday anyway, and I want to be Hana-chan, I picked up their school uniform, which will hopefully be there in a week or so. Then they were talking about doing Inuyasha cosplay, and really, Kikyo is just Miko Rei with her hair tied back. (All right, technically she's got red ribbons woven into her sleeves, but I'm not cutting up my real white kimono just to put ribbon on. ...although I could cut up ribbon and pin it on. How anal retentive am I, anyway?) So that's three new characters and only one new costume, and that ain't bad.
I actually updated
Ohtori Avatars this past weekend. This makes me so happy, you have no idea. I don't know how I'm going to update Sailor Moon Avatars with us going to Grandpa's this weekend, though. And if only I could get my Otakon con report finished, I would be one happy camper. Ah, well. Gotta just keep chugging along, I guess.
