I swear, whenever I want something changed, I should just whine about it in LJ, because the Universe seems to like to make me eat my own words.
The hotel issue has been resolved. I managed to get in touch with somebody at the LaGuardia Airport Hotel, and she gave me an even better rate than the one Expedia.com had come back with...$89 a night, which is basically amazing for New York City. (Though that's not counting tax, and parking is an extra $18.) I had them set aside 10 rooms (although I can add more, if necessary) for both Saturday night and Sunday night. If you want to reserve a room, here's what you need to do:
1) Call either 718-426-1500, which is the direct phone number to the reservations department, or 1-888-243-2111.
2) You must identify yourself as part of the "Group" to receive the Group Rate. To do this, say you're calling to reserve a room for the My Last Name/Marvel's Last Name Wedding. (If you don't know our last names, e-mail me at sunseenli@aol.com).
3) You must reserve your room by Friday, June 19th, 2009. After that date, any rooms not taken by our guests get released back into "inventory", and any reservations requested outside of the Room Block or after the cutoff date will be on a space and rate available basis at the hotel’s discretion.
