I've been looking up ways to make exotic hairfalls. That's one gothic beauty thang I have yet to try. And my hair is finally long enough to pigtail up. Could be cool, could be geeky.
Things to buy:
--Two falls worth of blonde plastic hair, preferably curly or spikey (try Sally's or Osco). Not all hair is created equal; look for fancier grade, since it's easier to work with.
--White ribbon, preferably metallic or sparkly--this can be curled using a curling iron.
--.5 cm wide elastic; white will probably work best. The band needs to be flat, like a rubber band, and long enough to tie on to existing hair.
--Super glue. Once the hair is sewn on in layers, glue it to add an extra layer of cohesion.
--Beads, bangles, chopsticks, feathers, glitter, baby skulls and fake flowers to taste.
And here is a neat link-y re: making falls.
http://www.hugemassif.com/features/hair.htm Because I live for craft projects! Also found white tulle, $30 for forty yards of soft, bridal quality. I think I'm going to make a canopy for my bed. Am currently debating between black, cream or olive green.
WILL WORK NEVER END?!?!
