Due to R not having the promised amount of hours lately (and not getting "stop pay", I guess), we were a little short for bills this month. And last. So, the cable company cut our digital, and our net. We got them paid, but turned in the box and the modem. We're switching carriers, so it's a work in progress. Which makes me somewhat isolated, since I'd been depending on Skype for calling people. My stupid cell phone is not behaving. Oh, if you're considering a prepaid cellphone, don't go with Tracfone. Just don't. So, when I got around to checking my messages (which I had been doing roughly once a week), I got one that made me cry. My friend
platypi007 had called me just to check up on me. I was feeling isolated, and that just helped a lot.
I've been doing some more thinking about life and relationships, and everything, and discovering more about myself. I'm realizing that I forget how much I appreciate those around me until something happens to blatantly remind me. Sometimes, it's a stupid TV show, that I say, "Oh, if that happened to me, and then realize it never would because of the people around me. Dunno. This will probably be a multi part entry and I'll post it again when I get back on.

Well, we still haven't gotten the 'net back. I was hoping it would be last Friday, but it probably will be this Friday (fingers crossed). The good news is that my mom is coming to visit us the last full week in October. She'll be flying into Roswell (for like $400 or something), and staying 10 days. I was really hoping Dad would come too, but it sounds like he's claiming money as the reason. R made a point that he'd be able to afford it if they didn't go up to Montana all the time to see Becky and Nate. Heh. Ah well. Not sure he'd be comfortable here, anyway.

It's a lot later than we expected, and we've been online for about a week. We ended up giong with DSL again, getting a landline, too. But it's going fairly well. R'll have to re-wire both of the phone jacks in the house to get the caller id and the DSL working without the brown-outs. Otherwise, it's peachy keen. It's day 4 of R's 6 day vacation, and we haven't gotten Will's room painted yet. Sometimes things get done at the last minute.
