Almost done!
I've successfully copleted portfolio review and senior show. All that really remains is a quiz in Special Effects and however many extra credit tutorials that I can manage to get done before then. And fixing capstone; Leah Managed to render it all without the eyes so we need to redo that.
So tonight Dad starts looking at jobs that I might apply to. I don't really want him to because he tends to be kinda pushy. And sure enough he keeps pointing out how few animation jobs there are and how many graphic design jobs there are. And I want to smack him. Most the people who graduate from Bradley with a degree in animation get jobs in graphic design because they don't want to leave the area or they don't go on for further education. I intend to do both those things.
Telling me to go get a job in graphic design is like telling my dad to get a job as a car mechanic. You know how it all works, heck if you tried you could probably do it. But why the hell would you want to? (Nothing against graphic designers out there, this is personal preference.)
Movies, great. Gaming, sure. advertising, as long as I get to do some of this stuff. But I don't want to get stuck in a dead end job that I don't want to be in in the first place doing things that I'm not even really good at.
