Hi all, I have decided that I have to part with my cat Patches. Hugmonster's asthma is getting worse and there's a good possibility that he's reacting to Patches. If ANYONE knows of a good home that can take her, I'd appreciate it.
She's a calico. We believe she's around 6 years old. (We adopted her in late 2003 and were told then that they believed she was almost 3 years old... so we're going based on that.) She is very friendly and LOVES being scratched. She's great with kids. (Usually just avoids them but didn't scratch the boys when they were learning not to pull her tail.) She doesn't react wonderfully with other cats but also has only been in a situation with us and another cat for approximately 1 month. She was improving and may learn to accept other cats. She's a medium to large cat. She's not HUGE but she's not tiny either. She's an indoor cat but does like to get out every now and again. She does have claws but has been fixed.
I have a litter box, food/water bowl, litter scoop, cat taxi, and I'll also include whatever food and/or litter I have when I find a place for her.
I've called around and all the no kill shelters I can find in the area are completely full. We don't have an open ended window so the faster I can find a place for her, the better. Even if I could find someone to foster her while finding a permanent home that would be good too.
If you have a possible home, either comment here or email me at sunruner at livejournal dot com.
Thanks!
(EDIT: She's had all of her vaccinations and is scheduled to get the first leukemia vaccine on Thursday so she's ok around other cats.)
