As I've already told you, you are my hero! Lol. I love, love, love this entry. I am fascinated by people, all of them. I sit in class, walk through stores, down streets, into libraries, et cetera, and I observe the people I find myself surrounded by, and I want to know their stories. I want to know everything about everyone, in a totally non-creepy, un-stalkerish fashion. :D. I've always been the kind of quiet one, much as my friends will laugh at that idea and try to tell you otherwise, so I have plenty of opportunity for observation. And I use it, especially in classes, because of the diversity. They can keep their individual eccentricities, I've got more than enough of my own, but I do often find myself trying to fit into other peoples' shoes and see things the way they see them. It's a bit distracting at times, actually.
Um. This ramble was actually heading toward some sort of conclusion, but as it's taken me so long to get this far, I've forgotten the point I was making. So I'll settle for saying that I don't often eat hot dogs with buns, but rather just eat the hot dogs themselves dipped in mustard, so I've never even noticed the hot dog to bun ratio. Lol. This does clear up the mystery of why we had leftover hot dogs but no buns to go with them. Yay for newly acquired bits of useless random knowledge.
Oh, and because this comment hasn't already rambled on much too long, the idea that everyone is a misfit in some way or another is a very interesting one. A very basic concept, I suppose, but not one we (or at least I) really stop to consider. It's funny how there are so very many diferent worlds comprising the one big world, and sometimes they overlap and the people from one world can mix with and occasionally even turn into the people from the other, but sometimes they never touch at all and the residents of the different worlds remain forever strangers to one another, while all the time living, working, and schooling side by side. And it's funny how you could know a person, on the level that they're an acquaintance or maybe even a casual friend, and you see them regularly and spend time with them and think you know them and all the time they're living in a completely different world that you've never experienced and know nothing about, at least not in the way that counts. And, while you may be the top of the top in your world, in someone else's you would be the bottom of the bottom, or perhaps someone who's just mediocre, another face in the crowd. People should think about that more often, especially when they're insulting and belittling someone simply because they don't quite fit in their world.
So yes, I told you I was going to ramble in full Chelsea-rambling fashion, and I have. I think this is the longest LJ comment I've ever left in the history of my leaving LJ comments, so you should feel special. Or not, as the case may be, depending on your view once you've read this far. And I'm going to shut up now, before I go off into another point which never gets properly made because I forget it halfway through and just go on rambling for the sake of rambling.
