Maybe I did, maybe I didn't

So!  Interview.  Went great.  I guess.  :D

Actually, it did seem to go well.  I managed to arrive 5 minutes early (despite leaving my house five, almost ten minutes later than I meant to) and most of my nerves went away as soon as I shook the interviewer's hand.  We talked about my job experience (nil, and why, with her expressing the opinion that becoming a librarian is definitely a calling and well done for my deciding it was mine, yay.  /no sarcasm, honestly).  She asked when I'd be available to work during the week and what I'd be doing as a store associate in that particular shoppette (a military thing - it's just a glorified gas station).  Then she explained that the job would be temporary, what with the state of flux military assignments are in right now.  Honestly, that's perfectly fine, as far as I'm concerned.  Any job at this point would be great and could only help me (unless I manage to get myself fired for attitude or something - unlikely).  But, the fact that it's a temp job means no benefits - no health or dental insurance.  Which sucks because mine just ran out (I turn 22 next week - my dad's military dental/eye insurance will only cover me until I'm 22).

BUT!!

That doesn't mean I've got the job yet.  She said that she'd give the okay to put in for a background check on me, which takes 7-10 days, and I'll hear back from them then.  I did surprise her, in that I had with me and was willing to offer without prompting, a reference sheet/contact list/whatever-you-want-to-call-a-list-of-people-who'll-say-nice-things-about-me.  So, y'know.  Maybe.

:D

I'm exhausted now, though.  I'm thinkin' a vanilla vodka and Dr. Pepper, alongside some pizza, sounds wonderful right about now.  :)

no one can find the rewind button girl, um...?, no words, blahblahblah, rambles, bwah??, thoughts, my mind is like a pachinko machine
