"I'm off to weather this world alone"

Jan 04, 2005 19:56

I'm not sure if there's much to say about these past few days. Getting back into the school routine has been tough, and I'm constantly tired and half asleep in class. Teachers have decided to load up on projects as soon as we started back. Just the usual school stuff. I have practice for Alice every single day and swim team practice on Monday and Wednesday nights, so things are going to get hectic as Alice practices get longer and when Tech Week starts next week. Oh dear. I'm afraid I'm going to be in over my head soon. Nothing else to say really. Because I wouldn't sing loudly in the car on the way home from seeing "Phantom of the Opera" with Wes, he gave me a homework assignment to write a song, so I did... It's incredibly emo and it's pretty easy to tell what it's about, so don't be surprised. (btw, I've never written a song before and I'm a horrible poet. don't judge me too hard)

So Far From Me

Locked away in this darkening room
Filled with sadness and regret
Turning over last thoughts
Wishes, dreams of you in my head
Neverending feelings of
Something I can't have

Standing beside me
I can touch you, feel you there
You speak but
You're so far, far from me
I can hardly hear you
Hardly see you anymore

Dark nights used to be
Bright as the midday sun
Winter snows I used to look forward to
You were there to hold me, keep me warm
No intentions of letting me go, now
I'm off to weather this world alone

Standing beside me
I can touch you, feel you there
You speak but
You're so far, far from me
I can hardly hear you
Hardly see you anymore

Move on, the world is yours
And I can't hold you back
Can't make you stay
I'm losing my grip and
I can hardly see you now

Falls On Me
Fuel

I've seen you hanging round
This darkness where I'm bound
And this black hole I've dug for me
And silently within
With hands touching skin
Shock breaks my disease
And I can breathe

And all of your weight
All you dream
Falls on me, it falls on me
And your beautidul sky
The light you bring
Falls on me, it falls on me

Your faith like the pain
It draws me in again
She washes all my wounds for me
The darkness in my veins
I never could explain
And I wonder if you ever see
Will you still believe?

And all of your weight
All you dream
Falls on me, it falls on me
And your beautiful sky
The light you bring
Falls on me, it falls on me

Am I that strong?
To carry on
I might save my life
I might save our world
Would you save me?
