(no subject)
Okay so regardless of the last entry, I am happy, truly, I am. I'm not even sure what it is that sent me over the edge yesterday about things with the boy, but basically I was just really pissed off and writing is one of the few ways that I can relieve that.
ANYway.
UD doesn't have classes today because it is labor day, so that is freakin amazing. It makes me love this school even more than I already do haha. So last night I met up with Kate for dinner. We were originally gonna just go to Trabant for dinner cause we were really looking forward to eating at the new Quiznos there but completely forgot that basically everything is closed in the food court on Sunday nights. So instead we decided to go to Newark Bagel for one of their really good sandwiches. So we got there and it was closed. Grrrr. Then we decided to take the trek down Main Street and go to Pita Pit. Ok, sounds good to me. So we got outside Pita Pit and realize that the Main St. Quiznos is right next door so we decided to just go there. And it was very good food. It was nice to catch Kate up about things in my life and to hear about everything in her life. I miss randomly just showing up in each other's doorways or IMing each other from next door....when we both had our volume on our computers turned up so loud we could hear the IM beep from our own rooms when we sent each other messages. haha good times :) Then Ang and I were gonna go grocery shopping but decided that we were just too tired and didn't feel like it. So we are gonna go this afternoon. (Oh and when I was on Main Street last night I ran into like 4 or 5 people that I knew....which is absolutely crazy, I haven't seen that many people around campus that I know in the entire week and a half that I've been here, let alone one night. It was pretty sweet though.)
Oh so then I came home and I was just hanging out in my room and Ang was in hers and Rach and Nate were somewhere. Then we all decided to watch Monster-in-Law and have some drinks. Mind you, this was Angela's first drinking experience. Sooo glad I was around to see it :) We had a blast...who said campus ministry students don't enjoy themselves...in the campus ministry house hahaha. It was funny because the basic diologue for the night went slightly like this: Rach: "Hey Megs, want to do a shot with me?" Me: "Okay!!" (annnddd repeat!! haha) Anyway, the movie was good, slightly weird but that may have been due to the fact that I was slightly tipsy. We took a lot of breaks too, including one where we all went downstairs to make popcorn and chased Nate around the house. He also managed to scare the crap out of me by banging on the bathroom door while I was in it. Anyway, we finished up the movie and played some trivial pursuit (on dvd) and Nate kicked all 3 of our butts by knowing basically every answer. Then Ang's friend Justin showed up at like 11:30 and we hung out for awhile longer and I finally went to bed around 1:30. Basically, we were all tipsy/drunk by about 9:30 which is pretty funny. One of my favorite comments of the night was from Ang when she tried her first ever Smirnoff: "It takes like Sprite! But without all the fizz...not bad!" haha love her
Anyway, I woke up this morning to a lot of pounding and the sound of a circular saw. Apparently 10 am on a day off is a good time to fix our staircase. Anyway, it's like 1 pm and I'm stilllll in my pajamas...time to actually do something productive today. Later friends!
