Well. Summer came and went, although it is still technically summer for another 3 days. No idea where it went this year. Summer this year was pretty intense...very cool of course, camp was amazing as always. It definitely had its ups and downs but I guess it wouldn't really be a true summer without those, right? I'm too tired to write more about camp now, but there will probably be more about it later.
I moved into my house yesterday. It was really dirty, especially my room because no one has lived in it in a few years. It's finally all starting to come together: I've got my desk/bed put together, my wireless internet connection is working, I mopped the hardwood floors, changed some lightbulbs, set up my tv (that was a huggee task in itself...it took a solid 2 hours to tack up all the extra cable cause it's coming from a splitter in another room into my room..talk about slamming my fingers with the hammer while trying to get the cable tacks into the wall!), lined my drawers and put away all my clothes...now all I need to do is unpack some more boxes, decorate, hang up my lights, miniblinds, and curtains, and then maybe buy a shelving unit for by the window and then I'll be all set! Ang and I have adjoining rooms which is pretty cool...we are going to have such a cute looking floor by the time we are done decorating! The bathroom already looks really good; Ang cleaned and set that up. It's awesome because we have so much storage space/shelving in the bathroom. Anyway, it hasn't really hit that I'll be living here all year--it's still like I'm just here for a sleepover. It also hasn't hit yet that I've spent a crazy amount of $$ buying stuff that I "needed" for the house. (sidenote: most of it I really did need...but who knew that it would cost like $50 for mini blinds, curtains, and curtain rods??? crazy!) I also can't even believe that summer is almost over and come 8 am Tuesday morning I have to go to my first class of the semester...my second to last semester!! ahhh!
Well, it's been a long day and I'm gonna head to bed. If people want to come and visit, feel free...I'm on W. Main Street, really close to campus! Night everyone!
