As stupid does.
So, two weeks ago, my faithful cooker of six years decided to start going on a bit of a hissy fit and so I went straight to trusty owld Google for a look see at what could be had these days. I came across quite a cracking little deal at Littlewoods, and while I never purchased from a catalogue, the deal made it £70 cheaper from where I normally purchase and includes the addition of interest. So I bought the cooker, yes?
I'm there, front left hob cranked all the way to highest setting and I've got my bloody hand on it, only there's no heat coming from it whatsoever. Which, let's face it, is just my bloody luck. Fab cooker with all these fun little extras and I have to get the one that's broken. Anyway, I ring up Littlewoods, and start explaining the cooker isn't working, that there's no heat coming from the element at all etc etc.
Long story short, I bought an INDUCTION cooker, and induction cookers need a magnetic metal, such as stainless steel, in order to cook. This is me, facepalming my brains out with the frying pan I tried to use on an induction hob.
So yeah, that fabulous £70 saving has been swallowed up by the need to purchase an entirely new stainless steel panset.
Get on there, Sunnyjim. Fucking genius!
