All right, for those of you who don't know, I am endeavoring to write a novel, or 50,000 words in 31 days. I began December 1st, and I intend to be finished by December 31st. It is a new story, and a good one, I think, so far. I've got 25 pages of text, almost three chapters, and lots of ideas. The contest (which you play with yourself or a friend, and there's no prize other than the excellent rush of accomplishment and victory you get at the end,) is called National Novel Writer's Month, or Nanowrimo. I have to write roughly 1,600 words a day, and so far I'm almost doubling that. I will persevere.
