Erik's Birthday
All right, everyone out there...I know that I've been off the cyber radar for a few days...the gods of technology are very fickle, and getting a new computer entailed losing everything on my old hard-drive, resulting in a mini-meltdown for Robin and a total lack of desire to post while wallowing in techno-despair. However, Tony is using his magic to recover the lost data, and with any luck most of the important stuff will be back. If not, I'll just have to sink into a teary depression, but we'll leave that one alone while the jury's still out.
However, the reason I thought I should probably post before bed, although it is nearly 4 am, is that Erik's birthday is going to be this Friday here at my house...well, mine and Jamie and Huma's. Festivities should pick up around seven, and I expect everyone reading this to attend...assuming you're within about a 100 miles, of course. So...Huma, Marci, Alex, Kristina, Sara, Greg, Jeremy (Fuller, since Salyer is more technologically backward that even I) and everyone else.
Looking forward to seeing you. In other news, I've been working a lot, I finished Excel Saga (thank goodness) and I'm about a third the way through the sixth Harry Potter book, which isn't half bad. The summer is ending, and although I do love the rain, I can't say I'm happy to see it go.
Oh, and tomorrow I think I might finally get to talk to my program director about my wretched grade in TESOL 420b, since she's supposed to be back in the office. And I'm taking Erik out to dinner.
