Hold the Applause Until the End, Please

So...I downloaded BitTorrent and I'm using it, even as we speak.

And this is a really, really big deal for me. I'm serious. I don't know why, but although I have no lack of confidence in any other aspect of my life (really...I can't think of one...maybe being naked in public, but how often am I going to have to deal with that?) I have absolutely no faith in myself to do anything right when it comes to the computer. I'm sure this has ofttimes frustrated those more computer-literate, god-like creatures around me (this comment goes out to most of you), but even the simplest things seem so daunting to me that I go scurrying down the hall to Alex or into the ATUS office for Brandon or to Erik or Tony for help.

How hard was it to download BitTorrent? Not at all. Googled it. How hard was it to start using it? Not too tough. Looked for something I wanted, then clicked on it. I am, at this moment, stealing Microsoft XP from somewhere so that perhaps I can get my cute little ipod to respond to my suggestions. Maybe not, but at least I'm trying. It looked at me like I was speaking in a foreign language when I tried to use windows ME to deal with it. Even with the winamp plug-in (and don't think I came up with that on my own; that was Brandon's suggestion...after he got done making faces when he heard I was still using ME) it doesn't seem to want to listen. Sigh. I will make this work. Even if I have to figure this crazy nonsense out myself!
If I can tackle BitTorrent, what can't I do? I just don't know why I didn't get it before...oh, wait. Yes, I do. It was because I was waiting for Tony, friend and Best Buy geek squad member, to do it for me, because I don't know nothin' bout computers and I'm just a helpless lady person.
I don't even make any sense to ME. You figure me out, let me know, a'right?

In other news, I'm clearing up the confusing surrounding this party thing. There will be a party. Friday, 7 pm. Festivities begin, and everyone is invited. Hope you're paying attention this time, Fuller. I don't know who all will grace the ball, but I think I can verify me, Huma, Greg, Dustin, Tony, Hobbes and hopefully Jamie. Charlie, too. Sara will show up late; she works until 9:30. But the most important guest? Vodka. W00t.
