I Only Post A Lot When I'm Too Busy to Post

Hey, folks out there in reader land. It's been a few days since I posted, which is unusual for me. Let me cover some of the basics, then, since I'm feeling too lazy to post anything long. I'm back in Bellingham and just passing the time in a lazy way.

Nanowrimo word count: 63,923. That's 93 pages single spaced. Neat, huh? The story's really going, now. I'm just glad that things are progressing, happening. I think the first person approach keeps me from going on and on quite as much as I usually do.

Today, I was riding around in Chiho's car talking about going to Korea when I felt something brush my arm. I looked down and there was a big fat hornet walking on my arm! I squeaked and thrashed my arm. The bee fell off and onto the space between the two front seats, then just sat there, sort of befuddled, while I grabbed something out of my purse to squish him. Chiho gets full points for keeping the car moving and in the proper lane during this adventure. It was sort of...scary, I guess. I'm not normally bothered by bees overly, but then, they aren't usually on me.

I shamelessly used Chiho's influence to find out when my diploma was going to be mailed out. Yesterday, because I wanted to know, he emailed the head registrar for Western and asked, then signed his name with his trustee signature. Fanciness. Anyway, Joe St. Hilaire got back to him this morning. The diplomas are going in the mail at the beginning of next week. It takes mail about a day or two to get to Bremerton, and I sent the diploma to my dad's house just to be safe. So...I should have my diploma by the end of next week for sure, and then I'm free to leave the country anytime.

I'm really nervous about buying my plane ticket. It's a big committment, and I'm afraid of getting it wrong, somehow. What if I set my departure date, and then my diploma doesn't arrive by then? Ahh! I know it's silly, and not something I should really be concerned about, but I am. I have to have something to worry about.

Today I"m going to make the last corrections to my senior project and send the final draft to Dr. Mariz. I can't wait to get that thing off my mind.

I'm showing Chiho Firefly, and he really likes it. I think I'll go watch some now.

Also, Erik moves up to Bellingham tomorrow. It's gonna be neat, and I'll help him move in. Hooray!
