Just like a movie ending, maybe just a bit better
Congrats to Japan for winning the Women's World Cup!
Both the US and Japan played an awesome game. It was a very fair game and fun to watch. Half the time I didn't know who I wanted to win. I still don't. LOL. I really didn't care who won as long as it was a good game to watch. I was biting my nails through the end. Also clapping, shouting at the screen at missed plays and goals for both sides... but mainly chewing on my nails. (which I don't do often, really, just during intense sports matches) My neighbors probably thought that I was crazy, I was shouting that loud.
And I didn't even really like watching football until I studied abroad in England. ahaha... Clumsiness with playing with my feet and tripping over the ball has never made it my favorite sport to play, but watching is so much more fun (especially with semi-drunken flatmates explaining the game as we watch a ManU game at the pub).
It's kind of funny because I find that women's football is as compelling to watch at men's. And the women are less dramatic, I feel. None of this rolling around, whining for 10 seconds that you got fouled before reluctantly getting up and doing your job. Man up men. Or should I say woman up? lol I don't even know.
Anyways, I'm alive. It's just been a crazy busy summer. I finally got hours to work and dude am I tired. I'd forgotten what working was like... and especially what dealing with, shall we say, interesting customers was like. It takes mental acrobatics to deal with them and half the time I get home to fall asleep on my bed and forget to wake up to at least shower.
Such is life, right?
