Another great day for weather! I'm soaking up the sun!!!! Since it was so nice yesterday, we decided to grill some marinated chicken for dinner ... yummmy!!!!
randommsugirl decided that she was going to make a random trip to Kalamazoo to visit, and I'm so happy she did ... we had so much fun! Manda and I went and played catch outside for a while, then layed out to read for a while. I gave her "The Giver" to read ... it's one of my favorite books! And I sat down to read more of the DaVinci Code ... extremely good book so far, and I'm only on the 8th chapter. Well, Meredith got here a little bit after that, so we grilled up the chicken and dragged our table and chairs outside to eat on the porch. We sat and just laughed at all the prissy little sorority girls prancing by in their flirty skirts with stilettos ... come on ... who WOULDN'T want to go barefoot on a day like today??? And I found out that Nick, who's currently in California got backstage passes to see Alkaline Trio!!!! That lucky boy ... I guess they couldn't find him though when they got backstage, or he couldn't find them or something. He got to be onstage though when NOFX was playing. Hope you're having fun out there buddy! Then, to celebrate Meredith being here and the end of classes for the semester, we decided to have a few people over for a nice little party.
Well, Neal and Bill show up around 9ish ... everyone but me is asleep ... so we hang out till Meredith and Amanda wake up ... then Ryan and Tyler show up, and Josh and Steve. I decided to go pick up Carl and Jake from campus, but Bill wanted to get DQ since he was craving a strawberry cheesecake blizzard, so Meredith, Bill and I all pile into his car. No sooner had we made it to the stoplight in front of 7-11, than some dumbass on his cell phone makes a right turn and pulls out right in front of us, almost hitting us!! So as we pass him, we flick him off and he shrugs his shoulders as if to say "What the fuck are you flicking me off for?" I HATE stupid drivers. So we pick up Carl and Jake, call Jake and find out that he's actually got another person coming with him (Jackie, his girlfriend), but we only have room for two more people at the most. And since Jake's 21 and we needed to get alcohol, we decided to pick up Carl first and head to DQ, drop him off at the apartment, then I would drive back to pick up Jake and Jackie and go on a beer run. So we pull into DQ's parking lot, and I swear, it was 9:55 by my watch, and they were CLOSED!!!!! Now I used to work at a DQ back in the day, and I realize how annoying it is when people come to the doors in the last few minutes, but still, that is NO REASON to deny people their ice cream! So thoroughly disappointed, we head back to the apartments, I pick up Jake and Jackie, and we head off to Meijer ... only I drove almost the whole way there without turning my headlights on!!!! I turned them off when we stopped to pick up Jake because they were glaring right on these kids sitting outside and they were giving me dirty looks. Then I guess I just turned them to my parking lights and never changed it back once I got going again. I'm such a dumbass ... surprisingly, I didn't get pulled over ... THAT would have been the cherry on the top of the banana split!
Well, Meredith and I went our separate ways in Meijer to grab some candy while Jake and Jackie were busy getting the essentials. I am proud to say that Meredith is the best cheat at getting things for cheap there ... definitely learned a thing or too ... hahahha, take that Frederic Meijer! You employ my roommate too many dull hours and don't pay her enough for wasting her valuable time!
We got back and commenced on the getting drunk deal. More people had shown up while we were gone. The party was starting to get into full swing. Ryan was already obliterated ... so much so that after about 5 minutes of me being home, I noticed him and Neal had finished Ryan's gallon of vodka ... I forget exactly what that shit was, but I know it was NASTY. Ryan was also sitting ... or slumping down on the couch, absently shoving a piece of bread into his mouth and drooling all over himself. He didn't seem to be doing so hot, but he ended up being worse off later. Meanwhile, Jess and Steve entertained the masses by starting a game of caps. After they finished that, we decided to have a game of flippicup outside on the deck. Meredith and I didn't have any beer to drink, so we just used our Mike's ... and that is NOT the best stuff to chug ... too damn sweet. So after about two games, my stomach was starting to complain a little. So we went next door and played a few rounds of beer pong with the neighbors to break in their new beer pong table. I was WAY too sober to do well, so I ended getting REALLY drunk by the end of two rounds ... power puked, then I was good to go, and I wanted more to drink. So I played again after that. And for the record, yes, I felt fine this morning when I woke up to go to work.
Well, at some point, Neal went outside and was rocking on Amanda's bass and these guys from a party downstairs came up and were like "Dude, you're awesome!" so they sat and listened to him play for a while. But that was sadly broken up by the security guy for our complex stopping by to yell up at us that we needed to quiet down. I think he was getting pissed at me because I still have really bad hearing ever since my last cold, so I kept shouting "What?" down at him. And then, when he was leaving, I guess Josh flicked him off, which later led several people to believe that he was the reason the cops showed up driving around. And right when the cops were stopped in front of our apartment, we heard a knock on the front door. So of course everyone freaks out ("Oh my god, it's the cops! Grab all the alcohol!" as if that couldn't be heard through all the open windows) and runs to the closest room to hide. Turns out it was just the Jimmy John's delivery guy. LOL!
Later on during the night, I guess the hamster got loose, and it might have escaped outside since the door was just left open half the night. I was bummed, we never went down to play drunken volleyball, but I guess it was for the best since cops were driving around. I didn't get to bed last night till around 3:30 or 4, and then I woke up at 6:30 to take a shower before work since I think I got a little bit of Ryan's puke in my hair. Plus I just felt nasty. I left for work around 7:30, Josh was passed out on Amanda's bathroom floor, Ryan was passed out in the spare bedroom, and Steve was passed out on the couch. I was getting ready to head down to my car, but I heard the neighbors making a shit-ton of noise ... they were still up, so I stopped by ... and they had stayed up all night. They were playing beer pong at 7:30 in the morning. Holy shit were they ever drunk as fuck.
So I get to work, and I'm thinking I'm going to be a little early since it's about 10 minutes to 8. Only everyone's car is already there. Odd. So I park in the last parking spot, and walk into the break room. No one's sitting there like they normally are when they're still waiting for everyone to get there in the morning. Even weirder. I look at the schedule that Scott just started posting (usually, I just work the same time every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday) and I wasn't even scheduled to work today. I was so fucking pissed. And on top of that, we started working at 7:30 on Saturdays at some period ... which I was not aware of. At least I got to pick up my paycheck though. So I ran to the bank, deposited my check in the ATM, ran back home, and sat up and talked to Jess for a while before she went to work. So basically, yeah, no sleep last night. And I could have taken a nap today, but it was sooo nice out, and I didn't want to waste the day, so after I cleaned up a little, I went outside to study for exams, and I tried falling asleep in the sun, but I just couldn't do it. But I'm just happy that it's nice out now.
Oh, and I guess someone (not naming names) bonged one of Amanda's goldfish last night, after she'd been begging for people not to. Craziness ... that shit ain't cool people ... that shit just ain't cool.
BTW,
gumshoescooz has inspired me. This guy Dave,
frozebaby, is ALWAYS having people comment on his livejournal. EVERY SINGLE ENTRY has at LEAST 25 or so comments on it. That is SO not fair. So
gumshoescooz decided to try to get as many comments as she possibly could ... so far, I think she's at around 100 or so comments ... last time I checked anyway ... so come on people ... help me out here ... lets go for 200!
