I have absolutely nothing to say [edit: LIAR!]...... I'm just bored and it's 3am and Super Mario Bros. 3 doesnt hold my attention like it usedd to. I would play Bioshock but my computer completely shitted out on me last night and I had to restore factory settings (for the second time) and I really just don't feel like starting the game over AGAIN, especially since I was fairly far along... which is not really a valid statement because I have no idea how long Bioshock actually is... I could play PS2 but I've been stuck in God of War II forever and I really don't feel like playing any of my other games... although I keep telling myself I'll eventually beat FF VIII. Probably not :(
I cant wait to get my tax rebate!!!!!! IF I get it intime (hope!) I'm getting the Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 bundle and GTA IV. That should hopefully put an end to 3am boredom. Although if I were a brighter person I would be sleeeeeeeeeeeeeping. (I am not. [A brighter person, that is])
So, I've been telling myself I'm gonna start posting in here again and have not been doing a very good job.... So I guess I'll just talk a bit about my life at the moment.. and if anyone cares they can comment or whatever.. and (more likely) if not, then they can just ignore this long-ass post. You could be reading a book right now.
Soooo.. most of you probably know I have a youngling now. Her name is Lucy but she'll also answer to "Goose." She is probably my favorite person. And by probably I mean totally. She's definitely better than your kid anyway. She's ummm... 17 months? 18? Idunno, I count in years.. I would just say one and a half... but people always expect to know the exact age, down to the hour... I don't know, lady. Stop messing with my friggin kid. Anyway, Lucy is well on her way to talking now... Well I mean she is "talking" but most of it is just jibbajabba and single words, many of which only Polly and I can even understand. But full sentences aren't far off. Before we know it she'll be conjugating verbs... Oh yeah. She got her first haircut yesterday. Thats pretty big, I guess. It happened over my own protests, but I'm just the dad right? pff.
Uhhh... lessee.
I am currently enrolled in college at DeVry University Online (what kind of loser "attends" Devry University Online, right?) and I am majoring in "Game and Simulation Programming" a.k.a. proffessional geeking. It's neat, but not easy. Especially for someone with zero programming experience. I may change my major... Not sure yet.
Lately I've been really wanting to try to build my own computer. Just for the hell of it, mostly as a learning experience. I think it could be fun. Currently though, I'm savin for that PS3, so that plan may be on the backburner awhile.
Also, I've been thinking a lot about politics... I've started to gain a tentative respect for conservative ideas... its amazing how a little thoughtfulness can really add a lot of perspective. I feel though like my whole ideology has beenshaken up since I've generally considered myself to be strongly liberal on most issues. But currently I'm in a state of flux... I still identify more with radical politics but I think I've grown up some as far as seeing the shades of gray in different positions. I'm in limbo somewhere between conservative libertarianism and anarchism, but still probably pretty far left of center.... idunno. I may write about it some other time, I think about this stuff a lot.
Ummm... what else... nothing. I guess I'm done. I've thouroughly bored you so now I'll leave you alone. Goognight.
