With Fred and Gunn finally together, and Nikki and Dawn safe and away from the hospital atmosphere, I stayed in the waiting room a bit longer. Leaving a message with the nurse at the front desk for Fred to call me if she needs anything, I too decided to take my leave of the place. And hopefully...if I got a call this time I would be able to get ( Read more... )

After falling through the floors, I finally reached rock bottom. I could have attempted to go back to my apartment, but there was only Anya there. She couldn't help me in the slightest, so I started off outside. I headed immediately for my motorbike, but of course I just passed through it. So I was going to have to foot it with my nonexistent feet...

Hours later, I arrived at the AI warehouse, and luckily for me, Cordy's car was parked outside. I didn't have my keys, but since I was a ghost...or specter...I just closed my eyes and went right in through the door. Once inside, I didn't see Cordy anywhere. Was she not here after all? I'd try calling out her name, but I didn't think she could hear me...

I hesitated a minute and stood perfectly still. I could feel the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. Shrugging the odd feeling off, I walked over to the desk Fred and I had used to take down Drusilla. Attempting to lift it, I realized the thing was loads easier to knock over then it was to stand back up.

"And, we'll be leaving this here for now."

I did manage to pull it a few feet away from the door though. Yay me? Sitting down on the ground I went to work picking up the sheets of paper that had pretty much carpeted most or the floor.

I was standing ther, trying to decide what to do next when I felt odd. Suddenly Cordy's back was in front of me. She bloody went through me! She must have been behind me all along. Watching her, I saw her try to move one of the fallen desks, then move onto picking up the scattered papers.

Deciding that this was as good a time as any, I went over and tried to focus...focus on moving the desk. After fifteen minutes or so, I finally seemed to manage a grip and flipped the desk back upright. I then slid it back into it's proper spot. Forgetting about how Cordy would react to such an occurence, I turned and watched her...

The floor was paper free for a whole...2 minutes. I watched in silence as the table decided it was sick of being turned over and sat itself upright. No, now that’s just silly. Tables don’t move themselves...

“Why was I not informed about us having a ghost?!Not like I was prejudice against deceased Americans. Hello! I lived with one for a good number of years. I laughed nervously then blinked. Frowning slightly I wondered if I gave off some kind of ‘Come haunt me’ vibe ( ... )

Cordelia freaked like I knew she would. Maybe trying to help out wasn't such a good idea after all...

"You're welcome," I replied automatically.

It was irrelevant, of course. She couldn't hear me. When she went to the desk and pulled out a pen and pad of paper, I wanted to kick myself. Why hadn't I thought of that? Picking up the pen, I quickly began to write: Wesley Wnydham-Pryce. Setting the pen down, I stepped away.

My brow furrowed slightly as the final letter was written down.

"Wesley...? I-I think I liked it better when you were just 'Casper'."

Shaking my head slightly I prayed that this spook was joking. But dead guys don't usually have a sense of humor...I should know, I work for one. Plus...why would a ghost want to impersonate Wesley? Stranger things...I guess.

"What the hell happened?! You weren't a ghost a few hours ago! Sure some things slip by my radar every once in a while, but this I would have noticed ( ... )

Rolling my eyes, I groaned and picked up the pen again. I began to write furiously. No! I got them home safely then went back to my apartment. I was helping Anya become corporeal again when there was an accident...and I got blown up. Don't worry, I was completely vaporized so there's no mess to clean up. You won't even have to have a funeral!

Throwing the pen down, I turned and went to the door. I gripped the door handle and threw the door open before leaving. It was a waste of time coming here, they didn't care whether I was dead or alive. No one did.

After reading what he had written once again, I watched as the pen hit the desktop, sprang back up then rolled onto the floor. Okay, Casper he was not. Casper was 'friendly', not 'cranky'!

"Look, I'm sorry--conclusion jumping..I do that, but--"

I flinched as the front door swung open. Excuse me, but I could have sworn I was in the middle of apologizing, which I don't do very often, and he decides to go haunt elsewhere?! Scoffing a bit I stood and made my way to the door. One of those stupid proton packs from 'Ghostbusters' would come in handy right now. How could I go after something I couldn't see?!

"Wesley!" A passer by looked at me like I was nuts, can't say I blame them... Sighing I took a step back inside. "How can I help him if he's not here to help...?"

Contrary to popular belief, I'm not the brains behind AI. Shocking huh? One of our current brainy-smurfs doesn't need anything else to worry about right now, and the other...is in poltergeist form.
