How--anticlimactic.
If I were watching a movie and the so called 'big-bad-evil-doer' just up and left before killing the helpless victim(s) I'd feel kind of ripped off. Wouldn't any normal person...?
...
Ok, so yeah #1: Not in a movie... #2: SO not a member of the 'helpless victim' tribe...and #3:--what the hell is wrong with me?!
Hello! Alive, pulse, still hold the ability to tan with the aid of natural sunlight--what's up with the complaining?
::shrugs::
The office was pretty trashed due to hurricane Drusilla once Fred and I had emerged from the back room that served as our hiding spot. Though...we were kinda responsible for the desk being all turned over now weren't we? Ah well. Cleaning up of this mess was an issue for a time that was other. Like Fred had already said...the hospital was definitely the place we had to be--about 5 hours ago actually.
Better late then never.
I drove faster than usual--still slow enough to avoid both being pulled over by one of LA's finest and getting into a fender bender though. We don't need another one of those...
The drive wasn't long, and once the destination had been reached we(?)exited the car and entered the building even quicker--if that was even possible.
Making a mad dash for the reception desk I asked--ok, more like demanded--information from the nurse behind the desk.
"Gunn--Charles Gunn what room is he in?"
She proceeded to answer, but hesitated after a moment. "He has two people in there with him now. Only two visitors are permitted at a time."
"Uh-huh, I see..." I began slightly annoyed. "...they were just leaving. Now, you just scamper on back there and let them know they've been relieved of their duty--'kay."
She blinked and mumbled something along the lines of 'She must be related to the shorter one...' I would have asked her to repeat her statement, but she was doing as I asked, so I didn't bother.
