The noises in this room. Who left on the television? "Fred," I tried to say "turn off the TV and come to bed." It came out "Red, offtv dom thiue". And dear lord it hurt to talk

::I watched as Nicole started off with her end of the plan. I gave it a few minutes to make sure everything was going as planned. I then went down onto the floor just incase the nurse did happen to look over my way, she wouldn't be able to see me. I crawled on past Nicole and reached the E.R doors. I then looked up to Nicole waiting for the hand motion to let me know that the nurse had her attention to Nicole. Once seeing Nicole motion her hand I pushed the door open and slid on through. I crouched under the ledge which was the top part of the desk and made my way to the entrance of her small office area. I glanced up to Nicole::
"No need to get snippy. I'm just....curious. I'm at that age where I need to think about my future! Ya know? And a job where I can talk on the phone and get paid for it....well sign me up! Oh, but no telemarketing, ew."
::Once Nicole had said that the nurse started yammering on about her job. I carefully opened the filing cabinet and looked through the "g" section and couldn't find Gunn's chart. I popped my head up to Nicole and made the I don't know where it is motion as Nicole kept her focus on the nurse so she wouldn't glance back my way. I then stopped the only chart on her desk. I crouched back down and made my way to her desk and reached my hand up. To grab the file as the nurse started to look my way. I pulled my hand back and dove under the desk. I should have known this wouldn't be as simple as I thought. Nicole then went on asking another question which the nurse seemed interested in because she then started talking again about her life as a nurse. I sighed a small sign off relief then crawled back out from underneath the desk. I once again reached my hand back up and lifted the chart off the desk and held it close to me as I made my way back out of her office. Just as I was about to go out the doors to the waiting room I saw the security guard on his way back to the E.R to make sure no one got in. I ducked down so I was out of view of the window and jumped into a bin of clean towels and sheets.::
"Maybe I should have rethought this more."
::Just then the bin started moving. It was pushed through the E.R doors and taken down the hallway. Just as I stopped I then heard a door shut. I popped my head out of the bin and got the chart out of the bin also then opened the laundry room door and made my way back to the main entrance. Then got in view of Nicole and motioned to her that I got the chart as she gave me a look as to how I got over there.::
This was some form of unrecorded cruel and unusual punishment! At this point I wasn't even sure if the woman was talking about her job still. I never envied the life of a deaf person...till now. For the first 10 minutes of it I had managed to nod during her story or give a little 'uh-huh', 'yeah', or even...gasp a 'wow'.
I caught sight of Dawn through the corner of my eye, and I think I squealed. I had endured the womans babbling and could now get gone. I stopped her, mid-sentence and spoke as fast as I could so she wouldn't cut me off in turn.
"Wow! That was---interesting! But ya know...I don't really think nursing is for me. The outfit is all wrong, and the shoes...even worse. I'll stick what I wanted to be since I was 6....a pony. Bye!"
I hurried off and rushed over to Dawn. As I passed her I grabbed her by the arm and pulled her along, making a mad dash for the nearest ladies room.
::I couldn't exactly hear what Nicole was saying, But I heard shoes and pony. Then Nicole scampered over to me and then with the grabbing of my arm and pulling me along. I think I almost tripped but with Nicole pulling me I just kept going. Okay this is new I am using the one pulling Nicole along. Now she is treating me like a rag doll. She then pushed in the door to the ladies bathroom. I came flying in moments after she did. Well not flying cause ya weird.::
"Okay yes I missed you to but there is no need to be all grabby!"
::I looked at the look I was getting, Okay I know she was pulling me along for a reason but I just had to get that out is all. I pulled the chart out from my jacket pocket and held it up infront of her as she grabbed that and started looking through the pages instantly::
"Why yes Nicole I am okay. I had to dive into the laundry and sheets so not to get caught. That is how I ended out of the E.R and at the opposite end. Thank you for asking."
::Okay I am done. I know there was important things at stake. I mean I signed on for klepto girl when I did that back in Sunnydale. Honestly it felt good. I am not saying I am going to start up again, though I am not saying that it wasn't fun either because it was. Anyway I looked up to Nicole.::
"So what is it that the doctor was hiding from us because we are "minors" or not family. Please tell me its not really bad. Cause ya that would be bad."
"Why yes Nicole I am okay. I had to dive into the laundry and sheets so not to get caught. That is how I ended out of the E.R and at the opposite end. Thank you for asking."
"Uh-huh...anytime."
Why is it that Doctors--who have to write out prescriptions mind you--always have the most unreadable handwriting? I squinted while reading over the chart, not that this act made it any easier to decipher.

It wasn't. 'Bad' I mean. Well, it was...but it could have been WAY worse. Good thing he was a seatbelt wearer...
"A few broken bones...he's been all casted up. Internal abdominal bleeding----they got that under control though. And some blood loss...of the non internal kind. He needed a transfusion... Oh! And he's type AB positive."
I smile after reading the last bit for some reason. After thinking for a second I look back to Dawn.
"Ya think we could just leave it in here and they'll think the nurse lady left it? Or...."
I didnt want to go on. The 'or' meant I had to talk to the nurse again while Dawn put the thing back.
