What have I gotten myself into?
Hey, Will, feel like workin some mojo for me? What? You can? You will?! And that’s exactly why you’re the best!I’ve replayed my half of that convo four times since arriving, yet it always seems to end the same. Me...L.A....alone. I wasn’t worried about the ‘L.A’. part, and I can safely say this next part without ( Read more... )

"Yeah, can't imagine who---or what would want to blow up a building full of old people. That was in the paper in the States?"

::Well...huh good point. I mean after all it was The Watcher's Council and that Quintin Travers he was really old..I mean Giles was old but this Quintin he was like ancient!.::

"Ya I guess..building full of old folks. They were prolly gonna die soon anyway...the first that blew em up just made things faster. Actually it wasn't in the Sunnydale newspaper cause that is really just local news and such. But I mean you can find anything on the net and Giles. He is a friend of the fam. He is from England to so he likes to check to see what's going on and such. So I was reading the paper and there are some interesting things so I checked it everyday pretty much and saw that a building had been blown up."

""Sunnydale huh? Sweet name for a town."

::Sunnydale...sweet...sure if your a vampire and you like blood kinda sweet. But gummie bears and ice cream sweet was definitely far from it. Hello it was a hellmouth. Kinda your centre of evil. Not to mention way ugly...There should be a note or a warning saying when you come to the hellmouth make sure you don't wear new clothes cause ya this thing had three heads...kinda like Fluffy from Harry Potter but not as Fluffy nor as cute. It looked like a giant maggot with well 3 heads.::

"Ya I guess Sunnydale is a sweet place. With the houses close together and great education." That is if you live through each day. "Um oh! there was this place called The Bronze. Totally happening place to be...basically the only place to be that you could have fun at...less you liked playing in graveyards. We had a couple of those."

::Okay that doesn't make me sound crazy. I mean who doesn't love a good walk through a cemetary..late at night. Sounds romantic, doesn't it. OKay so it's not all its cut out to be but if I had a choice of eating burgers from doublemeat or staking a vampire. I pick vampire. Have you ever had one of those things...yuck!::

I try to force a believable 'Graveyard? Are you serious?' kind of look, but I think it just came of like me looking sick...Who doesn't love a good romp through a graveyard?! God knows I do. Always fun to get into a bit of a rough and tumble with a member of the un-dead.

"The Bronze...odd name. Not any better then the hang outs 'round here I guess. Think I saw a place called D'Oblique...could have read it wrong." I wonder if I should go on or stop while I'm ahead...meh, couldn't hurt. "Graveyards are...nice. Quiet...kind of an odd get away. But I can think of worse places to be."

*motions to the school building*

"That being one of them..."

"Graveyards are...nice. Quiet...kind of an odd get away. But I can think of worse places to be."

::Okay guess this girl wasn't all that thrilled for graveyards. From the look she was giving of she looked like she was gonna get sick or has obviously never been to one. I mean it's not that bad. The people there are all dead...well most are there is the few vamps and such but I don't think I will bring that up. Not until after we have our first game of hide and seek in there cause ya again judging from the look. If she new vamps were there she would either laugh or look at me weird.::

"Well ya I guess they can be pretty quiet. Most of the time....I mean ya know you can have your obnoxious kids and stuff that you run into, some of which aren't to hip with the new fashion these days."

::Ya that was a pretty good description. Obviously Nicole or Buffy or Willow and such would know I was referring to a vampire cause ya they generally are wearing stuff dated back to a century ago or something of the sort.I looked over to where she was pointing to which was the highschool.::

"Well your definitely not wrong. I kinda used to like school. I mean it's not that I hate it nothing. But honestly nothing really good ever comes out of them. I mean never really good ever comes from them."

::I think about that for a moment. I ain't trying to say that this one is evil and I think I am just having trouble with phrasing that the way I want it to come out. I am not exactly sure how I want it to come out either.::

"You know what I am saying. Highschools are just like a place to be put into dumb groups. Like cheerleaders, band geeks and jocks. That kinda thing. Or that whole Seniors hang with Seniors. It's stupid. So I will hang out whoever I want, based on my own judgment."

I nodded as she went on.

"Nice to see youre open minded when it comes to that sort of thing. Can't stand narrow minded people, with their...narrow...minds."

I clear my throat and stay quiet for an awkward moment.

"Right, well that's kind of a given I guess."

::Okay maybe I am yammering on to much. Then again maybe she is interested in what I have to say...but I don't see why. I mean it's not like I am telling her the whole truth anyway. I wouldn't mind to but that is kinda in the past...Okay sure there are still vampires and such but nobody needs to know about it less ya know they see it or something like that. But I really don't see the point to bring it up.Who knows maybe this girl is hiding something to. But she doesn't seem like the secretive type..but those are usually the ones that have the most to actually hide. Then again my mind is going off topic as it generally likes to do. You think about one thing and then immediately jump into all sorts of thoughts.::

"Well it's better to have an open mind. Just because that way. I dunno I guess just that way you get to know the person better before judging them on appearance and such."

::Ya which is true. I mean Giles said Don't judge a book by it's cover. I mean it could be really old and ugly looking but you open it and start reading it, turns out it's maybe the best book you have ever read. Just don't speak latin infront of them. That never seems to turn out well.::

"So. How come your not in your classes or getting to meet people from your classes that kinda thing? I mean don't you want to learn your place around the campus so you won't get lost?"

::I look about at the other kids sitting at the further tables eating there lunches but most seem to be inside. I still see no sign of Nicole anywhere. Man what happened to her. I mean if it's cause of that disk you would think she would have called me by now. Or at least called to say she wasn't gonna show up today cause that would be helpful::

"I---"

Hmmm, and the tough questions just keep on comin'. Truth is...I wasn't really enrolled at Hemery. Hell, I wasn't really enrolled anywhere. And it's not only now,--its always been that way--being home schooled 'n' all. Not by my parents obviously, 'cause yeah...that would be bad. But I think that Giles and Will are much better at it then they could ever hope to be....

"Free period?" I laugh a bit on edge. Can freshmen even have a free period? Oh well... "I could be askin' you the same question. That is....unless you're class is tree climbing 101, and you happen to be the only student..." I look to the tree then back to her.

::Ooh point goes to Abbs on that one. But I mean it wasn't a hard question. I mean I had a good reason for not being in class. Actually two. One cause I just got enrolled this morning and Two, cause of this bruise on my face which is starting to give me a headache. It's just really bugging me is all. I would go home but then comes the explaining on why I aint at school. I would rather explain why I aint in class to Abby here rather then to Buffy::

"Well I did just enroll here this morning actually. I got out of the meeting and since classes where already going I figured I would come out and sit in a tree and just think about stuff. Plus that's not the only reason"

::I pulled down the top part of shirt that was doing it's best to cover up the left side of my face and then I turned and faced Abby showing her what I was doing oh such a grand job at hiding::

"I ran into a door the other night and got a pretty good shiner.THing is it's just bugging me is all. So I really didn't want to sit through classes right now. Plus I have Math coming up and not really looking forward to it all that much."

::But given the choice of talking to Buffy right now or going to Math class. I think I would take Math class. Buffy is prolly at home now thinking of what she is gonna say to me. Boy there is something to look forward to....::

A door...O--kay. That was almost believable. Almost. But I've seen enough bumps and bruises in my day to know that particular one was caused by flesh on flesh contact...not a slap of wood. Plus, I could almost make out a hand print.

"Ouch, well...we all have our clumsy--moments--"

I trail off as I remember her whole 'bad day with big sis' riff. I'm guessing that was the cause of her all but fuzzy feelings for Buffy at the moment.

She hit her....?

It had to be something majorly big, but even so....wow. I've never seen my mothe---uh, her hit anyone that wasn't pale and pulse-less or any other form of demon....
