Mere had gotten there a little early. The only time that she showed up early for anything was gigs of some sort. Usually of the musical variety, but this was just a gig where she spoke instead of sang and played guitar. She had already made herself a cup of coffee and helped herself to a doughnut.
"I'm doing alright," she said with a smile. She had her lines memorized and everything. "Sure, slight case of nerves, but nothing too big or anything."
"Don't worry. I'm sure that they will be showing up soon enough," Mere said. Yes, missing people in Sunnydale was a cause for worry, but it shouldn't be the first thing leaped to.
Sure enough, another cast member strolled in. "Don't worry. You're definitely not the latest here."
"Yeah. I have seen you around school, but I'm usually planing a party or on my phone so we haven't talked much. Great that we're costars, isn't it? I'm glad Valentine talked me into auditioning."
"Planning a party? You need to let the people know about these things." And by 'the people,' Mere meant herself. "It is pretty awesome that we're costars. I just heard about them making a movie and decided to try out for fun. I didn't quite expect to get a part. I'm hoping that it's fun, though."
"Just stop by my place on Friday night, I'll add you to the list." Sherry didn't always have parties, but it was fast becoming that way- if not her, then her stepmother would throw one. "Oh, this should be fun. This is my first professional acting, but I got a speaking role which is amazing... are you off book yet? Do you think we should go over lines sometimes?"
"Sure, sounds like a plan to me." More parties meant more fun for Mere, and that was always good in her book. "I'm pretty close to being off the book. Sometimes I forget like, the next line or something, though. I'm working on it. We probably should go over lines. I'd like that a lot."
"Yep, Suicide Messiah. I play rhythm guitar and sing backup vocals." And she was always actively looking for another gig to play for them. It wasn't like Sunnydale offered up an abundance of places to play music at.
"Are you willing to play at a future party? I'll pay, and make sure that your band eats" Sherry was hopeful. Live bands always increased the party turnouts. The more people that knew about her parties, the more popular she became- and the more people would see her in a movie.
"We're definitely willing to play at a future party." Paying them in money and food? Hell, they'd probably play a party right now for that. "Just let me know when you want to book us and we'll work something out."
"I'm doing alright," she said with a smile. She had her lines memorized and everything. "Sure, slight case of nerves, but nothing too big or anything."

"Are we missing some cast members?" he asked. This being Sunnydale, he hoped they were just late and it wasn't a more permanent situation.

Sherry strolled in, Starbucks in hand, and a tote bag was slung over her shoulder, containing the script and other essentials.
