Furniture Delivery

When: evening, a few days after this postChris showed up with his pickup truck, and helped Emil load it up with some furniture. A bed, dresser, and some boxes of assorted odds and ends all made it on to the truck bed. "So how's things going with your ex-girlfriend?" he

Adam knew that Emil was bringing the furniture over that night. So he had slipped out to get some food for everyone but it had taken him longer than expected. When he pulled into the apartment complex, he saw Emil and another man he didn't know standing next to a truck with the furniture in it.

The car was parked right next to them and the vampire emerged with a large paper sack full of Chinese food. "Shit, sorry Emil. I went to get some food for you guys and this damn woman in front of me took forever ordering for her and her heard of demon spawn." Adam made his way around the car and offered a free hand to Emil. "But thanks so much for doing this for us"

"Not a problem," Emil assured him, shaking the offered hand. "And oh... Adam, meet Chris. Chris, this is Adam."

He did the gesture of introduction, before heading around to the back of the pickup to start hauling furniture.

"Pleased to meetcha," Chris said, tipping his hat. "Emil's mentioned you a lot- nice to finally get to put a face to the name."

He headed around to the back of his truck to help with the haul.

Good to meet you too" Adam replied with a soft smile. Then, he quickly joined the pair at the back of the truck, still carrying the bag of food in one arm.

"Here Emil, take the bag and I'll get the mattresses"

Adam handed over the bag to his friend and grabbed both the mattress and box springs in his arms and pulled them off the truck effortlessly. He then carried them to the front door of his a Gideon's apartment, giving a kick on the lower part of the door to get Gideon's attention to open it.

Emil took the offered bag, and smiled. "Mmmm... smells good." He also snagged a duffel bag full of linens and pillows to go with the bed and slung that over his shoulder.

Chris picked up the headboard and started hauling that.

Adam chuckled sarcastically as he entered the door sideways, working both mattresses into the apartment. "I don't think you can handle the mattresses, babe." He gave the boy a soft wink over his shoulder, continuing onto the bedroom where the propped the mattresses up against the wall.

"Just set it where ever" The vampire told Chris and Emil. "We'll get it set up later. You guys go ahead and start eating, I'll go get the rest of the bed frame"

Adam headed back out after a quick kiss on the cheek to Gideon, leaving the boy alone with the other two men.

Emil opened up the bag of Chinese and collected a carton of some promising looking sweet and sour chicken before passing the bag to Chris, who likewise foraged.

"So how are you liking your new place?" he asked Gideon to make conversation.
