"Tonight then what?" Adam smirked, playing coy.
"I get to go back to sleep?" Gideon mock-frowned.
"If that's what you really want to do on this night" Adam gave a casual shrug, turning in Gideon's arms to face him, his own arms moving to drape over the boy's shoulders.
"I'm not much into pink holidays," Gideon murmured. "Though for you, I might just make an exception."
Adam narrowed his eyes, "I wasn't talking about the holiday" He wondered if Gideon even knew what the day was.
"Oh?" Newp, the kid had absolutely, positively no idea, and it showed quite clearly on his face. "Because it's Saturday?"
With a quick lick of his lips, Adam nodded and smiled playfully. Hell, he hadn't known it was Gideon's birthday without the kid telling him. And well, that night didn't go to well. So did he really want to chance another disaster? Thinking about it, Adam decided no.
"Yeah, because it's Saturday night"
"Don't believe it." Gideon frowned. After all, days of the week didn't matter all that much now that he wasn't dealing with waking up for training or classes anymore. Really, he was quite surprised that he remembered what day it was.
"Does it really matter?" asked the vampire, tilting his head to one side.
"It'd probably be less confusing, so yes."
Taking a deep breath, Adam held it for a minute then finally said quickly "It'smybirthdayalright?"
Gideon blinked from the momentary deja vu feeling. "And here I would've burned a cake for you if I knew," he smirked, trying to hide that probably sympathetic feeling that he didn't know. "Aight, so pick up and return back here unless you had something else in mind . . . ?"
Again, Adam rolled his eyes but laughed behind closed lips. "Someone's going to bring the bed over tomorrow. So, I don't have anywhere else to go"
There was a slight frown upon the kid's face in that note. He was almost looking forward in attempting to move furniture - it'd be normal, but this, he promised himself, would be too - kinda - as normal as normal went with being with a vampire, and in that thread of thought, he shook his head and couldn't help but switch that frown to a smirk. "We could go see one of your silly movies." Gideon softly offered. "Or stay here, talk . . ." he didn't need to finish that. "Just no coffee."
Adam stared at the ever changing array of emotions on Gideon's face. There were times he wished he could read the boy's thoughts. Hell, it would make things a lot easier when Gideon was playing the evasive cryptic game he was so good at.
"I don't want to make it a big deal really. After all, I don't age." with a shrug, the vampire smirked as well. "We can just hang out here tonight. Talk. Do whatever"
