Adam sat in the nearly furniture-less living room of the apartment he and Gideon now lived it. They'd been using a small futon for a bed, Adam using it during the day when Gideon was out and Gideon using it

"Hello?" Emil said, answering on the third ring.

[adam_balister]

"Hey, it's me" Adam replied, keeping his voice down glancing over at Gideon so that he doesn't wake him.

"Hey Adam - how's things?" Emil asked. "Enjoying the new apartment?"

[adam_balister]

"How'd you know already?" asked Adam, sounding thoroughly surprised about it since he'd not even mentioned it to his co-workers.

[dantesque]

"Xavier told me- he knows someone in your building who met you at some sort of party they were having."

He chuckled slightly, finding Adam's surprise amusing. It wasn't often that he got to surprise a vampire. "So, how are you liking the new place?"

"Oh things are great." Adam replied, content on the answer about how Emil knew about the move. "Gideon and I have so much more room. But there's a severe lackage of furniture since I've lived in dorms for the past umpteen years. I was wondering, and you can say no if you want to, but wanted to asked if you happened to have a bed that you weren't using and if we could borrow it until I can buy a new one?" It took a lot of Adam to ask for help as he was.

"We have a guest room here," Emil said, contemplating. "I'll ask Xavier if he minds loaning out the furniture. Really, I don't think it'll be a problem. Do you need anything else? Pots and pans? Dishes? We've got some extras of those..."

[adam_balister]

"Oh my God, that would be great. As far as anything else, we don't have much of anything. It's just the bed problem is what I'm trying to take care of first so that I don't have to sleep on the floor anymore" Adam let out a small chuckled as his eyes trailed over Gideon's sleeping form on the futon. "But whatever you're willing to let us use, that would be great. I'll find someway to get it over here."

"You guys are sleeping on the floor?" Emil said, frowning. "I have a friend with a pickup - I'll see if I can get him to give me a hand tomorrow even. I don't know if it's big enough to fit two comfortably- it's a single, so you might have to squish."

[adam_balister]

"That would be great. And a single is fine. Anything's better than the floor" Adam smiled, though it could not be seen over the phone, it could be heard in his voice. "I really appreciate this Emil. Thanks so much. And tell Xavier if he agrees to it that I said thanks as well. I'll take you guys out for dinner or something soon to make it up to you"

"Alright - no problem. I'll let you know when I can drop the stuff off," Emil said. "Does this mean I finally get to meet your boyfriend?"
