December 22nd
Anna was trying very hard to wrap a present. The wrapping paper, ribbon and tape tangle on the table was proof of that. She sighed, and started to try again.
"I'm guessing you've never worked a shift at the giftwrap desk in the mall," Michael commented, surveying the attempt.
Michael and Ming had decorated the Sunset for Christmas, incidentally - there was a tree in the corner with little skulls on it and everything.
"Do you want me to help?" Ming asked.
Nica was watching Anna. "You sure you don't want a hand with that, sweetie?"
"Beware my face penises!" Juice called, wiggling his fingers by his chin and chasing Kyle.
"Ok. I'll take the help." Anna said, offering over the tangle.
Becky was near Nica, spinning around on her bar stool
"Aaaah, get away from me with your facial penis issues," Kyle said, scuttling past.
Nica started carefully disentangling. "WHat the hell was up with that Cassie chick?" Nica asked, looking annoyed.
Juice made his fingers all stick up. "But they're all excited by youuuu...."
Ming glared at the boys running past. Sure it was their night off, but she still disapproved.
"Miiiing, tell Juice to put his erections away!" Kyle complained in passing.
"Juice! Knock it off before you get the Goths riled," Ming said.
"I dunno." Becky said "I'm dizzy." She giggled a little
"I'm guessing she's under the assumption that no guest lecturers in the demonology class will suddenly eat her head," Michael suggested.
Katie wandered into the club, looking contemplative, with a bulky gift-wrapped package in her arms.
"Face penii!" Juice shouted to Katie.
"I like guest lecturers," Ming said. "It's entertaining. Juice, I mean it- stop that before I have Michael turn you into a newt."
Katie blinked.
Juice might maybe have had too many candy canes.
"Um... what?" There were times Katie really wished she didn't associate with the terminally insane quite so often.
Juice wiggled his fingers under his chin.
"They're fascinating, and demonkind are amazingly diverse and as full of good and bad as mankind," Nica said. The tangle was evolving into a shiny and intricate bow.
Tina was sitting in a corner, writing quietly.
Becky hung a candy cane on Nica's ear, because she could
"Face penisesssss..." Juice wiggled towards Becky and Nica.
"Eek!" Becky said, holding out a candy cane. "I have the candy cane of face penii defeating!"
Nica snagged the cane, handed the gift back to Anna. "Here you go ... who's it for?" She unwraped the candy cane and bit off the end.
"V" Anna said, smiling "Thanks."
"Aww. Cute," Nica said, and giggled.
"Ooh, candy cane.... gimme another," Juice asked, holding out his hand.
"Don't give him any more sugar!" Ming called.
Becky almost handed the candy cane to Juice when Ming told her not to. "Oooh, you want one of your presents instead? Nica and I got it, and it might make you not want as much candy, I dunno. I know it's early.
"Oh cool! I so do," Juice said.
Ming gave Becky a grateful smile.
Becky reached into her backpack, and handed Juice a box.
Katie snuck over to Tina. "Hey..."
"It's from me and Nica." explained Becky
Michael shook his head, amused.
"Hey" Tina looked up and smiled
Juice opened up the box excitedly. "Ohmygod! My own video camera... dude!"
"I've got your present," Katie said, offering up the wrapped package.
Becky smiled. "I knew you'd like it!"
"Thanks" Tina smiled "And this is for you... " She handed a smaller box to Katie
Juice hugged them both. "You guys rock!"
Becky hugged, and smiled
Katie took it, smiling, and sat down to unwrap.
"I have your gift back at the house," Nica said to Becky.
Tina gave Katie http://www.themagicalblend.com/~magic/cart/images/items/PTRSVTP1306.jpg on a gold chain, and matching earrings. "Um, I kinda charmed them with good luck for you. I hope you like it."
Juice sat down and started trying to figure out how it worked so he could mess with it
Tina unwrapped her present.
Katie had gotten Tina, of all things, a somewhat large and vaguely shrubby houseplant, in a pot that was carefully handpainted with little smiley faces on it.
Tina smiled. "Thank you! THis is really, really great."
"Really? I'm not sure... I mean, I wasn't sure if you'd like it," Katie said, smiling.
"I love it. And it has smilies." Tina smiled
"Okay, I think I have it... everyone smile," Juice said, turning the camera towards them.
Nica smiled and waved.
Becky smiled and waved. "Hi Juice!"
Anna quickly waved, before turning away from the camera.
Nica tickled Becky, because she could.
"Okay, now everyone say... 'Face penises!'," Juice said.
Becky just giggled
Kyle called, "Facecocks!"
Katie nodded. "I'm glad you were here to unwrap him - I didn't want to hide him under the paper too long.
"What should we name him?" asked Tina
"Hmmm... well, what comes to mind?" Katie asked.
Juice grinned and took a closeup of Kyle. "This is my totally hot boyfriend."
Tina looked thoughtful, befire shrugging her shoulders.
Kyle grinned and waved.
Juice settled down by Kyle eventually, and showed him the camera. "Isn't this cool?"
"Definitely cool," Kyle agreed.
Tina gave Katie a hug, because she really liked the plant
Becky went back to hanging candy canes on Nica
Nica giggled. "Do I look like a tree?"
"A Nica-Tree" Becky said
"Ho ho ho?" Michael guessed.
Katie hugged and smiled. "Maybe it's a Frank?"
Ming giggled.
"You do now," Ming said.
"Yeah, it was totally nice of them... and now I feel like my gifts totally blow," Juice said. "Crap."
"No... Yeah. Frank." Tina said
Nica shook her head, dislodging a cane. "You guys," she said, and laughed.
"Are you a Frank?" Katie asked the plant.
