Who: Skylar and Gwen
When: December 4th (after the wedding)
Where: Skylar and Gwen's House
After taking a day to recover from the wedding and the huge party of a reception, Gwen finally felt like she and her new bride (!) could relax. As a knock was heard on the door, Gwen padded excitedly into the living room of her new home (which was still mind-boggling to her) in baggy, low-on-the-hips Jack Daniels pajamas, and a tight white wifebeater top, her blonde hair tied in a ponytail. Answering the door, she quickly took a wrapped package from the man who stood there, and paid him. "Thanks... have a good day. Sky? Wanna come on in? Your wedding gift was just delivered..."
Skylar walked out into the living room, still in her nightie from the night before. Actually, it was more of a tiny slip, but who was keeping track? She was holding in her hands a wrapped gift as well. "So, who shall go first with the gifts?"
Gwen grinned, for just a moment or two growing wide-eyed at seeing how hot her wife looked again. "Wow. Anyway. I should go first. You'll understand why soon, but we shouldn't keep this wrapped too long." She pointed to the large, heavy wrapped gift on the floor.
"Alright," Skylar said with a grin, gently setting her own box aside so that she could start to unwrap Gwen's gift. "I wonder what it is that it can't stay wrapped up for long?"
Gwen grinned as Skylar began to open it. "Obviously, I didn't have a ton of my own money... but I knew you'd love this..." Under the wrapping was a metal cage, and inside it was an adorable black, brown, and white kitten, with big, loving eyes. "Granted, he'll technically be OURS... but I know how bad you always wanted one growing up..."
Skylar squealed, opening up the cage and taking the kitten out. "Now I am glad that I finally finished filling out that survey!" Her mother would never let her have a cat, because 'litterboxes smell.' "Thank you so much, Gwen!" She stood up and kissed her.
"For you? Anything. And you get to name her." Gwen giggled and watched Skylar snuggling the cat.
"Hmm...I'll have to think about it. She should have a good, strong name, though." Skylar let the kitten snuggle into one arm as she moved to get her present for Gwen. "Here's yours. I think you'll like it."
Gwen took the gift from Skylar, carefully removing the wrapping paper...
Inside of the carefully wrapped box was a replica of Queen Gueneveire's crown that Gwen had mentioned that she wanted.
Gwen sat there. And stared at it. And stared some more. Actually? She just stared, not blinking... for close to two minutes.
"Gwen?" Skylar sat down beside her. "Are you alright?" The kitten yowled for attention.
"Oh... oh my god..." Gwen felt the tears building up in her eyes. It was the one thing she'd wanted since she was a little girl. The thing her father used to tell her she deserved, because she was his princess. "Skylar... how... I mean... oh my god..."
Actually, the how was covered by a high school friend who was studying abroud for the year, but Skylar didn't mention that at the moment. "You're my queen,
"Skylar..." Gwen's voice cracked there. When she was able, without breaking down crying, she'd explain to Skylar why this meant so much to her... why it was more than just some material thing to her. "Thank you so much... oh my god..."
Skylar reached over and hugged her, the kitten getting out of the way in the last second to avoid being smooshed, settling itself into Skylar's lap. "You're so very welcome, Gwen."
"So..." Gwen tried to calm herself by casually changing the subject, lest she start shedding more tears of joy. "How's it feel to be Mrs. Skylar Morrison?"
"It feels fantastic, actually." Skylar reached down and scratched the kitten on the head, who purred in contentment. Of course, she was only Skylar Morrison in practice now. Her name changing papers were still going through red tape.
"So... what should we do now? Open some of the gifts?" Gwen laughed nervously... it felt so good, yet so new and different to be married.
"Sure, we can open more gifts." They had a table full of them, but Skylar had wanted to give Gwen her's first. "Why don't you pick the first one?"
"Hmm... ok..." Gwen reached over and grabbed one, reading the tag. "Ooo... this is from Lizzie!"
"Alright, let's open this one, then," Skylar said, starting to pull away some of the paper.
Inside was a portable CD player, which made Gwen get a lazy little grin. "Oooo... this would be nice for the bathroom... to play when we're taking a bath."
"Or when we take a shower together," Skylar said. They did have a large shower for a reason, you know. She reached for the next box. "Hmm...this one is from Meredith." She opened the card. "Do not open in front of parents...sounds promising."
Gwen laughed and sat back, waiting for the inevitible hilarity from anything given by Meredith.
Inside of the box were two things: first, a dildo in the shape of Moses, and then a certificate for $100 to Frederick's of Hollywood. Inside the box was also a note that said, 'If anyone would laugh at this, I thought that you two would. Seriously, I do hope that your marriage lasts forever and a day. Love, Mere.'
"Well." Gwen laughed and widened her eyes at the 'gift'. "Looks like Moses is about to part a helluva lot more than the red sea..." Gwen reached over next, pulling one over that said it was from Chloe. "Is it wrong that I expect this to be good? I mean... chick got CASH."
Skylar laughed. "I'm almost tempted to put this up on the mantle." She set it aside for now. "She does, so who knows what this is."
Gwen peeled away the paper to reveal a Sony Playstation with two controllers, a memory card, Final Fantasy VII, and Mortal Kombat Trilogy. "Holy shit. Girl, you got some BAD-ASS friends."
"We have some bad-ass friends, but yes just the same." Skylar herself wasn't much of a game player, but she'd try it out.
"Your turn, girlie..." Gwen sat back, loving this. So far... people were NOT giving typical wedding gifts. This was more like a second christmas.
Skylar pulled over the next one. "This one is from a Larry. Who's Larry?"
"LARRY!" Gwen giggled and almost fell over. "He's... on the football team. And before you say it, yes, I know I usually hate jocks. He's different."
Skylar reached for the card. "'Thanks for helping with everying. Congrats on the wedding, Larry.' Hmm...what does that mean? Did you save hiim from becoming a meal?"
"Well, between us... he's been further in the closet than that ugly blouse I never wear. And I gave him the shoulder he needed." Gwen just gave a shrug.
Skylar nodded. "I see. I suppose that people can still be in the closet." Frankly, she wasn't too used to it anymore. Most of the gay people that she knew where out and very proud.
"Heh. My turn..." She grabbed a box from Wesley and Laili, and gave an audible 'aw'. "Ok... no matter WHAT this is... I know I'm gonna love it to pieces."
Skylar opened the card that was on top of a very large box. "'To Skylar and Gwen: I thought that you two would be needing these. May the two of you have years of wedded bliss. Love, Wesley and Laili.' How sweet." Skylar opened the present to find lots of kitty supplies, including food, kitty litter, a litter box, and more kitty toys than she could count. "How did he know?"
Gwen laughed and took the card to read as Skylar was looking at the supplies. "They're so awesome... both of them. I mentioned to them that I was getting a cat because I knew how badly you always wanted one..."
Skylar grabbed a little toy mouse and wiggled it in the kitten's face. The kitten responded, sticking out her paws to try and swipe at it. "That was so sweet of them."
"You know... the whole thing... the wedding, the reception... it was almost totally perfect." Gwen smiled and snuggled into Skylar.
Skylar wrapped her free arm around Gwen, still playing with the kitten in her lap as well. "It really was, wasn't it? I think the groomsmen were expecting demons to attack or 'ex-girlfriends' if I heard Andrew joke right. It was wonderful, though."
"I really thought my father would show up though... I admit I was kinda hurt that he didn't."
"I'm sorry about that. Are you sure that he's even still in town?" She stroked Gwen's hair.
"No, he's not... but I sent him an invitation." Gwen shrugged and tried to blow it off. She wasn't going to let this ruin such an amazing few days. "Doesn't matter... my REAL dad was there."
Skylar leaned over and kissed Gwen on the cheek. "He certainly was, and that's what's really important, right?"
"It really is. Also important? The honeymoon we're gonna take." Gwen grinned evilly. "You, me, and more sex than a saturday night on Cinemax."
"Once Christmas break comes around, I'm taking you on a real honeymoon. Pick anywhere, and we'll go," Skylar told her.
"That way we can have more sex in far away locals as well," she added, grinning.
Gwen reached over and handed Skylar another box. "Oh dear. This is from WARREN."
"This is going to be either really good, or just funny." Or possibly bad, but Skylar didn't think that. "You can open this one."
Gwen held back a laugh and opened the box, revealing a tape of the bachelor party, a set of four keyless cuffs with a remote control, and a gift card to Victoria's Secret. "Bwah hah hah!"
Skylar laughed herself. "Do I even want to watch this?" she asked teasingly.
Gwen's eyes widened. "Oh hell yes. It has great stuff regardless of mood. Feeling horny? It's me dressed like a total ho, with hot chicks grinding all over me. Feeling down? It's Andrew getting lapdanced like a deer in headlights, and Jonathan running away like the cops were after him."
Skylar laughed again. "Jonathan ran away? What was he so afraid of?" Her own party had been barred from video cameras, but she did remember a regular camera flashing at moments. She'd have to ask Mere for the pictures later.
"I think the boy is afraid that if pussy comes within 5 feet of him, Catherine will automatically find out, and castrate him." Gwen smirked, trying not to laugh.
Skylar nodded. "Sweet girl, if a bit prudish. You would never guess by her looks, though. I saw her blushing when she seemed to realize what our song that we walked in to meant." She shook her head. "She does seem to have a hold on him, though."
"Well... his last girlfriend had more semen in her than a Navy submarine, so, it balances out I guess." Gwen said with a hearty laugh.
"Ew..." Skylar couldn't help but be a little icked out. "He didn't sleep with her, did he?"
"I'm hoping not. The funny part is... if he didn't? I think that officially makes him the only man in Sunnydale who DIDN'T." The best part was... Gwen was fairly sure he HADN'T slept with TJ.
"Poor thing, he had one girlfriend who slept with everyone but him, and another who's a prude." She shook her head. "And Andrew was a deer in headlights? Have these boys never been given a strip tease?" Skylar tisked, as if they had commited a social faux pa. "Poor dears. Strip teases are good for everyone."
"Well... I wouldn't worry about Andrew. As sweet and innocent as that girl of his looks... she's a little devil at times. I have a feeling Andrew isn't exactly bored with her." Gwen laughed, and kissed Skylar quickly. "But yes... one would have thought Warren and I were the only two that had seen a naked woman before."
"Really, I never would have guessed," Skylar said, returning the kiss. "I think Meredith has pictures of our party if you're ever curious. It was quite a show."
"Are you kidding? I gotta see those." Gwen picked up a card with Tina's name on it, and read it, giving a little 'aw!' as she handed it to Skylar. "Look... she actually APOLOGIZED for not having any money... poor thing. Like we'd care! But she wrote that she'd write us a song. I think that sounds better anyway..."
"I like that idea better, too," Skylar said. "She actually does have a lovely voice, and song writing talents. I heard her once while she thought no one was around in the band rehearsal place."
"I love Tina... she's pretty much the closest thing to a best friend I've ever had. Warren's almost like a brother half the time, and Mere's... like the devil that sits on your shoulder getting you to do evil things. But Tina..." Gwen gave a wistful grin. "She's like... the friend that makes me usually feel like a normal teenaged girl."
"I wouldn't exactly call you normal, but I know what you mean." Frankly, Skylar had never had one of those herself. "It's nice to have someone who makes you feel that way."
"I keep looking at my ring... just unable to believe this is real." Gwen smiled brightly, eyes lighting up again. "I feel like a real life princess."
Skylar leaned over and kissed Gwen's head. "It's real, alright. I feel that a little bit, too. I'm so glad that we did this."
Gwen took another loving glance at the crown Skylar had bought her, sighing adorably. "You really are absolutely the BEST."
"I am, aren't I?" Skylar asked playfully. "You are as well."
"Well..." Gwen pointed at the kitten, who was now happily sleeping on Skylar's purse. "I guess now I've given you pussy in several ways."
"Hmm...I suppose that you have." Skylar grinned, reaching over the scratch the kitten's head. "We should probably put her in her bed."
"Speaking of beds..." Gwen gave her most evil of grins. "I think the newlyweds have some... activities to do."
Skylar smiled back. "Yes, I think that we do. Shall we?"
