Who: Tamara and Tony
Where: Sid's Diner
When: Saturday , lunchtime
Tamara took some time out of how busy everything was in her life right now to meet her brother for lunch at Sid's. When he got there, she threw her arms around him and gave him a big hug, partially because she'd missed him, and partially because she needed a whole mess of comfort right now. "Hey bro..."
Tony hugged back. "You seem thrilled with life... are you alright?"
"I'm so worried about Gerald," Tamara said. "They're working on getting his medicine together, but... it seems slow going and he's not feeling well. They gave him a little to keep him going, but it wears off so quickly."
"Heh... honestly, I'd be more worried about what sort of retribution his former employers will bring, since they know where you live," Tony observed.
"Yeah, there's also that," Tamara said. "But I did something about that, kinda... I got Kit Bothwell to come by and ward the building,"
"Good. Will it keep out everyone who doesn't live there?" Tony inquired.
"Everyone who doesn't live there and isn't personally invited by us- so I can invite you, say..." Tamara said. "And Franco, Smedley, and Vladamir have their own apartment in the building now too - so they're protected as well."
"Thank goodness. Heh. Is it quieter in your house now?" Tony asked.
"Yes," Tamara said, "which is good for Gerald to be able to rest. Since he's been all blah, I was wondering if you guys would mind if we did Thanksgiving over at the apartment this year?"
"Well, I'll ask Carmen, but I don't think that should be a problem," Tony said.
"Thanks bro," Tamara said, giving him another hug. She picked up her menu and started to look through it for lunch-type-food. "It's just been a really hard time for both of us."
Tony hugged and chuckled. "I know, I know." He glanced over the menu. "It's been a busy month."
"How've you been?" she asked.
"Eh. We're all on high alert over this whole Wolfram and Hart thing. Only a matter of time before one of us stops being covert about it, so..." Tony shook his head. "Only question is whether there'll be much left of the town afterwards."
Tamara frowned. "Between them and COSMO, this town is getting a bit crowded with creeps."
"Agreed," Tony said, nodding, and placed his order. "Pity we can't get them to fight."
Tamara picked out a tuna salad sandwich and chips, then looked to Tony. "... you're brilliant. That's it. That's what we have to do. If we can somehow get them to fight with each other, they'll just harass the shit out of each other and hopefully one will take out the other and make our job easier."
"Seriously. You're not joking." Tony raised a brow. "How, pray tell, do we manage THAT?"
"... I'm not sure," Tamara admitted. "But we could have a meeting about it. Maybe try to come up with some ideas..."
"Alright. I'll see if I can arrange one. See if Servator feels like being useful," Tony said.
"Sounds like a plan," Tamara said. When her food arrived, she dug in and tried not to worry about how Gerald was making out at the lab today. They had him down there doing some tests.
Tony ate calmly, unruffled by everything.
