Who: Emil ot anyone
Where: UCSD campus, on a bench waiting for a bus
When: Thursday evening
Emil finished his single class for the day, and was walking across the campus, thinking about how much things had changed since last year. The coursework for his certification was ridiculously easy, but required by the state of California. He looked at it as an experience in humility, that after his thesis had suffered such a sound rejection last year he'd been reduced to such a state. Still, being a teacher wasn't the worst fate in the world - certainly his mentor, Xavier, had made a good go of it. Emil fancied that he could do the same - maybe even implement a philosophy and critical thinking program at the high school.
Lord knows, those kids need logic skills... he thought, absently reaching into his pocket to finger the letter of apology Tina had drafted to him. Now there was a student with a sincere lack of judgment. He chuckled to himself as he reached his destination, a bench where he could sit and wait for the bus. One of these days, he might learn to drive - but the confinement of cars bothered him, especially lately. Buses would do.
