I sat in on a wicca meeting, back in the corner with one of Giles's books infront of me. Not participating, just listening from a distance. Maybe there was somthing there I could learn, maybe not specifically about firey demons or werewolves but something ( Read more... )

The second wicca meeting had been more disappointing than the first. somehow during the meeting we got onto the topic of bake sales and parties and it had stuck. everyone kinda got distracted from the original topic and we never managed to get back on topic. Hopefully future meetings will be more about witchcraft than parties and fund raisers for them. Then again, what do you expect from a small town wicca group?

I packed up my books and started heading home after the meeting when I realized I couldn't remember if I had grabbed my science book from my locker or not. I stopped at a chair in the lounge and started rummaging through my bag for it...

I looked up, a little surprised to hear anyone, but then say it was the guy I bumped into before the meeting. I shyly smiled at him.

"It w-wasn't what I was expecting from a w-wicca meeting, no. We were supposed to s-share books and stuff."

He had seemed nice, if not a little bit strange when we had met, but he seemed a bit more at ease now. Maybe he had just been really distracted with something.

"I was kinda hoping for more than bake sales." I rummaged around in my bag and pulled out the introductory witchcraft book I had brought and offered it to him. "If you w-want, you can borrow this. It's just some basics."

"Thanks."
I took the book and skimmed over the back.

"So how much of this stuff do you know?"

"M-mostly what my mom taught me. It was k-kinda hard to get books back home, but I-I've been reading more since I moved here."

"What else are you into?" I asked curiously, maybe "demons?"

I tried to hide my shock as quickly as possible. Could he tell? Was it that obvious? I hid behind my hair, grabbing my backpack a bit tighter. "W-w-what about d-demons?"

I calmed myself down before answering. He could just be one of the people that knows about demons. I offered him a smile then said,
"I'm ok. There's not much w-written about demons in the magic books I've read. Most people think they aren't real."

"What about you? What do you belive?"
Maybe she could help me find out about Ariel's demon -it was also becomming mine- but how to ask about it without telling her.

"There's lots of stuff out there that m-most people don't believe. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist."

"Ever seen one?" cause before I knew about them I never saw a demon or a vampire, well that I knew of.

"A demon? W-Well, there's supposed to be lots of kinds. They, um, all look different. Supposedly some even look human. S-so you might not know you're, um, talking with one."
It wasn't lying to him. I just left out what I knew from other places than just the magic books...

She was 100% right on that part cause she was talking to me.
"Supose I saw a demon, could you tell me what kind it was? About it?"
