Wicca Group Meeting

Sep 14, 2004 20:45

As I closed my locker and checked to make sure I had all of my books for classes, I made sure, once again, that I still had my Wicca books. I had only brought a couple, but they're more 'beginner friendly'. I checked my watch again, 5 to 3. I'm really looking forward to the meeting this afternoon. I hadn't been expecting to walk into the first ( Read more... )

I had been completly out of it and was kinda caught into reading this book, the one that I happened to barrow from Giles's private and locked section, when I bumped into this girl.
Our books fell and sorta clashed into a scattered mess on the floor of the hall way. "Oh- I'm sorry, let me get those." I helped her pick up her books and mine as well. I'm hoping she wouldn't notic the book I was reading, Giles' volume on the hellmouth.

I kinda hadn't been paying the most attention to where I was going and ended up running into this guy. I had been trying to organize all of my books so that they would fit, but now they were all scattered across the floor, including the Wicca books. I scrambled to pick them up, but he grabbed them first. I didn't know what to do besides grab the rest and wait for him to realize he was holding books about witchcraft and freak out...

I read the title, "Witchcraft. That's probabley yours." I handed it to her taking the book of mine she picked up which happened to be the one from Giles's colection.
"Sorry about that. So your into witchcraft?" hmmm, should I have been looking up spells instead of information on werewolves? I was so desprate to do anything.

I just stood there, more than a bit surprised by his reaction, as he handed me my book back and took one of his I had acidentally picked up. I managed to catch part of the title as he tried to hide it among his pile of books - something about a hellmouth. He was standing there looking at me. Why is he still looking at me? Oh. He asked me a question. He's waiting for my answer....

"Um, y-yeah." That was a good answer, right? I looked up at him through my hair. He had an odd look on his face, like he was thinking hard about something, like he was trying to figure out a hard math problem or something, but I highly doubt he was thinking about math right now...

And I found Tara and that guy instead. "Did anyone mention a meeting?" I asked wondering if there would be food there. "Because I'm starved."

I turned to find Xander walking towards us. The guy with the blonde and red hair seemed a bit confused by my answer and too lost in thought to notice Xander, so I answered him instead, "Um, yeah. A-A-Amy sent an email. She didn't mention food though. Just to bring books."

"Uhm, okay." Xander said looking through his book bag and seemed happy by what he saw there. Amy. E-mail. "Got it. Yeah. So..." he looked around hoping someone would let him borrow their brains for a bit for this study session.

"Let's like get totally... Crafted!"

I looked back and forth between the two. Xander seemed rather enthused, especially after I dug around in my bag and pulled out a chocolate bar and handed it to him. The other guy looked even more confused than ever. If it was possible, it looked like he was thinking harder than when he had asked me if I was any good at witchcraft. I glanced at my watch again. It was 3 now.

"W-W-We should get to the library, um, before we're late."
