BIG changes.
i got the job at Martino+Binzer. I start on November 10th. I gave my notice yesterday at KPMG..two weeks to go.
Even better, Travis found me an apartment last Thursday in West Hartford, 5-minutes from his place...he refused to let me live anywhere other than Farmington or West Hartford. Best part is he convinced the owner to let me move my stuff in last weekend and not pay rent until the 1st.
I am now renting the entire top floor of a 3-family home. My new apartment is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!! It's literally 3x the size of my current studio. It has all utilities included (even electricity) and a washer/dryer in the bathroom, I have a private entrance and a garage to park my car in :) the apartment is very open and loft-like except for the full-size bedroom (which is also HUGE) and the bathroom (which is also huge) and the 3 gigantic closets that I have in the bedroom, living room, and kitchen...all with 2 eaves off of them that extend to the edge of the roof of the house..basically endless storage space. I'm using the kitchen closet as a pantry, but if the apartment weren't already so big I could use it as an office, I'm not kiddin, it's that big. There's a ton of windows and it gets a lot of light. I'm really excited. Best part is...it's the same to rent as my current studio, but I'll be making $11k more at my new job :) and I won't be driving every weekend or every other weekend to CT :) work is 10 mins away and Travis is 5. Couldn't ask for more.
So that's the scoop. I'm very excited. But of course I have soooo much cleaning, unpacking, etc. to do between now and the 10th and I only have the weekends to do it! I want everything finished as much as possible before starting work. We'll see. I'll keep you posted!
