Updates and the such.
so i had my review today:
1. I didn't get promoted because I've only been back here for 7 months now and my ratings had to be submitted in May (in which I would have only been back 5 months), I guess there's some HR policies surrounding the fact that employees have to be here, in their respective positions for 2 years before being promoted. I should be promoted next year without question though because I've been a designer (in my position) for over 3 years now. I'm just glad that I got some answers and also voice my concern that by this time next year I'll have been a designer for 4 years without a promotion and reminded my managers that not only am I already qualified, but that I need a reason and an incentive to stay here and remain motivated.
2. I broke the news to my managers that I am trying to transfer to Hartford. I already talked to my Regional Director. We're going to put together a business plan proposal to submit to the National Director (Chris) within the next 2 weeks. Depending on Chris' decision, I'll be making arrangements to either transfer, to find another position in the Hartford office, or find a completely new job in Hartford.
3. I have no clue what my raise would be or if I'll see a bonus come October.
The good news is that I told Travis what the deal is with transferring (my chances are like slim to none that Chris will approve the transfer) and that I really want to stay in Boston and wish he'd look into moving here, at least for the time being. His next promotion means a relocation no matter what. I'd rather move once, than twice in the next year. They're waiting to hire a manager in the Boston office, but once they do he said he'll look into it. So I might be able to stay and have him move here...which would be the PERFECT situation...who wants to live in Hartford anyways when they could live in a fabulous (even though it's expensive) city! We'll see.

In other news: 3 days until I'm in Virginia visiting Nicole!!!!!! woohoo. I can't wait.
