I'd told Drusilla to get out, and what did she do? Started chortling at me like she'd heard the punchline to a joke I missed.
"Ooh, sweet boy. You can't hide from me, oh no. I can see you. ‘Sides, I like it here. It reeks of death..."She pulled herself onto one of the tombs and stretched out upon it like she was the Queen

Closer. He came slinking closer, my wicked little snake, and ooh, his thoughts were just as wicked. I could feel them thrumming in the air around him, along with all that black squirming frustration. Hmm, what a picture he made.
"You like it when I've been bad. When I've been a nasty brute. Does that mean you've forgiven me for that bit with the slayer? Because Dru, I can't take this hot and cold thing much longer. Either take me back, stake my heart and be done with it, or go find another town to be crazy in. Your choice."
Such a silly thing. Didn’t he know I’d forgiven him for the Slayer long ago? It was just the way he clung to her memory that I couldn’t abide. But…she was fading now…the stars sang down that delicious truth as I watched him play tonight. My Spike was shinning through again. Coming home.
Leaning forward, I reached out and touched a finger tip to his brow, tracing time’s little paths…even they whispered that he was on his way back from her.
“Forgiveness is…important," I whispered. Memories swam and surfaced; somebody had told me that once… “Important…and already yours, my sweet. Long ago."
Locking our gazes I slid off my perch to stand before him.
"...but she clung to you; all claws and sticky blackness," I grimaced at the memory. "I could see it everyday. But she’s fading now, oh yes, going all away and letting my boy come back to himself.” I grinned, moved forward and whispered my lips against his ear.
"I spy with my little eye," I sang softly. "My Spike…outside…playing… being oh-so wicked…just like before." I pulled back, grin still tugging at my lips. "I saw all the wicked things you did tonight..."
"You’re so close to being free of her." My voice quavered urgently...singing its own song. "Let me help you, hmm?"

“Forgiveness is…important. Important…and already yours, my sweet. Long ago."
I felt some of my tension drain away at that. She'd forgiven me already? But why all the games? We locked gazes and she moved closer. Having her be so near, whispering in my ear, it was intoxicating.
"...but she clung to you; all claws and sticky blackness, I could see it everyday. But she’s fading now, oh yes, going all away and letting my boy come back to himself.”
"All I ever wanted was you." I murmured, bringing one hand up to cup her face gently, the other reaching for her slender waist. "Nothing else matters."
"I spy with my little eye. My Spike…outside…playing… being oh-so wicked…just like before. I saw all the wicked things you did tonight...You’re so close to being free of her. Let me help you, hmm?"
She pulled away a little, but the smile on her face caused me to smirk back at her. It was positively evil, and so full of promise. I licked my lips at the thought of what we could do together, united once again as we'd been in the past. We'd been virtually unstoppable.
"Yes...I need you. I'm lost without you, love. Show me how to be the dark knight you want and I'll do it. Anything..." I closed the distance between us, my hand snaking out to the caress the nape of her neck, twining in her dark silky hair. I pressed Drusilla up against the sarcophagus she'd been lying on, the hard length of me brushing against her soft form. She was staring up at me, and I felt myself drowning in those dark bottomless pools of night. My head dipped down and I tasted her soft lips again. So long denied...

His fingertips burned into me, leaving little pinpricks of dancing pleasure as he tasted me, and as I tasted him. Oh, and his flavour was that of fire and flames and...coffee...but not one sly hint of sour grey ashes and as our lips danced secret steps together I could feel him floating back to me. I saw him with my minds eye; a black cloaked vision clawing through the damp clinging mists of her lingering memory and returning to me. Ooh, it was heavenly. My black knight...well, perhaps not just yet...
"…anything..."
But soon.
Stealing my lips from his, I broke their sweet tangle and looked into his eyes. So blue…and so wickedly black…but it wouldn’t do to get lost in the moment and forget about the stars’ warnings. The sticky vines of the Slayer’s thrall still laid tangled at his feet, ready to spring to life at any moment and creep, creep, creep and claw their way back into his mind…and heart. But mummy wouldn’t let that happen…oh no…
My fingertips found their way to his cheek and started petting his skin…
"Sshh..." I cooed, shaping my voice into a soothing lullaby to sooth this fretful head. "I’ll show you...oh-so many ways. But you must be patient, my sweet," A growl rumbled low in my throat and I arched against him softly, nipping at the fluttering fireflies of lust that swarmed around his head. Mmm, they were so hungry…
"My black knight will have his fun…and his way with..." I smirked and watched my naughty fingers as they ran down his chest, "this town. Ooh, yes, and show mummy what a bad, nasty boy still lurks inside."
