Everything and everyone that I passed by the school grounds annoyed me. I didn’t really know why, but I really couldn’t stand the sight of them. The way that they looked at me, the way that they seemed to think that they were better than me... it just bothered me more than it had in the past. Come to think of it, I never even really noticed it ( Read more... )

Oz and I had took our time walking across campus as we made our way back to his apartment to pick up the van. The smile I was wearing beamed even just a little bit more at the sight of what I considered now to be a dear friend. Actually thinking back to all the Oz-like memories that were linked to, and in, those four wheels? A very dear friend ( ... )

I didn't have time for annoyances, I didn't have time for mindless chitchat, and I didn't have time for people that were so physically challenged that could not do a simple thing such as keeping an eye on the road ( ... )

The walk to my apartment, followed by the drive to the Espresso Pump, had been nice. It gave me some Willow time away from campus, which was a pleasant change. It seemed like we'd both been spending a bit too much time immersed in our studies lately, although I knew she enjoyed it. Me? Not so much, but I never was one to get too outspoken about my likes and dislikes... or anything at all, really.

I'd never seen this girl before, but Willow seemed to know her. Seemed to be a little surprsied by her behavior, too. I didn't bother with surprised, just skipped ahead to irritated. There was a difference between being rude and being mean, and Fred definitely seemed to be opting for the latter.

"Willow, hey! Guess you didn't see me coming there. Maybe you need more work on your motor skills some more, huh. Why don't you try looking up while you walk next time. Maybe that way less people would push you around... don’t you think?"Now, normally I'm not one for ( ... )

"Willow, hey! Guess you didn't see me coming there. Maybe you need more work on your motor skills some more, huh."

Any motor skills I might have been displaying before, however lacking Fred thought they might be, completely left me as my mouth hung open at her words.

"I..."

"Why don't you try looking up while you walk next time. Maybe that way less people would push you around... don’t you think?"

"I don't get pushed around," I pointed out without thinking. "I haven't been pushed around since -- last week."

I was about to go on, but Oz stepped in front of me one arm out to sheild me from Fred. Fred?!? Something was a little...off, here.

"Excuse me. A simple 'sorry' or 'whoops' would cut it, don't you think?""Oz," I said his name quitly, shaking my head to let him know I was all right. I knew that he would understand. Fred however I didn't quite get. She had me very, very confused ( ... )
