Avoiding Trouble

This could not be a result of what I did. My actions were not even to the point of being lethal at the time he clutched at his chest. I played it over and over in my head trying to discern if I had done something without my knowledge. If this connection that I shared with Tucker and Amy was helping me lose control somehow. Already I was third in line for my own power retrieval. This was something I wasn't used to. Something I couldn't comprehend. Perhaps they had answers. Answers I couldn't find. The mere thought that my own survival was now second to their wasteful use of the energy I would provide them? It was too much for me to allow.

I continued the walk back to the motel where I had left Tucker and Amy, no doubt with the last influx of power they were fornicating by now. I reached the doorway and went to knock. Something was wrong though. They was no noise. It was quiet. Silence. No moans, no yelling, nothing but silence and the whir of the air conditioner motor beside me. I tried the door, but it was locked. I knocked and nothing. The cleaning woman was a few doors down still, and I flagged her down. Using a bit of charm I managed to get her to open the door. As I suspected the room was empty.

This could mean two things. One, they went to look for me. Two, they went to get away from me. Either way they had left me alone. I wasn't sure if this was a good thing or not. It was a bit of freedom, yet anything that I would do would end up feeding them instead of myself. That would mean I would have to do a lot of feeding, and perhaps try to overload them. For that? I would need a place that was highly populated. I set off to find my feeding ground, and made sure to see if this connection I had to Tucker and Amy would actually help and lead me to them.
