Going to college in Sunnydale has proven itself to be pretty weird. I didn't really expect it to go differently. It was like going to high school in Sunnydale -- with more breaks in between classes, and a bigger campus. Still, it wasn't turning out to be the big life-threatening ordeal I thought it would be. Cool. I'm down with that. I do value the

It was one of those deceptively shiney days that always seemed to get us into trouble with the demons and distasters it hid, and I couldn't help but think of Buffy. We hadn't talked much the past few days - pretty much not at all post Anya visit - and I missed her. I loved college, I did. All the books and the knowledge and the libraries that people actually liked to visit were wonderful. But one of my biggest reasons for staying here was Buffy. Xander too. And the fact that I knew I could help. Only I had hardly seen my friends since classes began, and the unhelpful feelings seemed to be filling that friend-sized void.
Not to mention the definite lack of boyfriend....
"Oz!"
I thought of him, and then there he was! In all his make me smile feel betterness. That is how wonderful he is ( ... )

Hark. Methinks I hear a Willow. Could it be? Has my adoring girlfriend come to rescue me?
"You have really good timing, you know that?"
I looked up at her and smiled. She was just so good. She had this great way of knowing just when I needed a little Willow time and showing up. If she hadn't been sitting across from me, I would have given her the customary kiss on the cheek, but instead I settled for reaching out for her hand and a short, one-sided round of footsie.
"I could say the same for you. I was just thinking I could use a Willow-brand pick-me-up. What have you been up to all day?" It was the first time I'd seen her since lunchtime the day before. College seemed to be keeping the both of us on our toes. Unfortunately, that also meant it was keeping us away from each other. Not good. If I wasn't careful, some other future rockstar might come steal her away from me.
We can't have that.

"Classes, classes and -- classes," I grinned reaching my hands across the stone table so that they were now that much closer to Oz. Most people would have uttered those words, or rather that one word repeated three times, with that 'tone' in their voice. The one that Buffy did so well.
But if there was any extra special tone in my voice, well it could only be enjoyment. But my love for this place, these buidings and these books in well known.
"This is better though," my head ducked softly, before pulling up to smile at Oz again.
"So much better."

She's so cute when she's scholarly.
I grinned and put my hand over hers, giving it a light squeeze as I leaned against the table to get closer. We couldn't make it easy and just sit on the same side. Besides, that's not nearly cute enough. Sitting across from each other allows for doe-eyes and footsie. I'm a big fan of the footsie.
"I agree. This is way better," I told her. "Less number crunching. And I don't have to worry about using proper grammar. And then there's the part where I get to spend time with you, which, as we all know, is my most favorite thing to do." I smirked, leaning forward a little more and putting my other hand out, taking her hand in both of mine.
"Got any plans for the rest of the day, or can I steal a few hours of your time?"
