Getting on my high horse over something trivial again, but dammit, I'm outraged.
I've spent most of the afternoon browsing etsy, admiring the talents of people who are far more crafty and talented that I can ever hope to be. I came across this:
And I wanted it. I don't know when I'd wear it, but gosh darn, I want it.
The problem? It's a medium mens size and thus would likely swamp me. Not in the leg area (I have freaky long pins) but on the chest, arms and waist.
I decided to go trawling about t'internet for a better fitting Ghostbusters jump suit. Apparently, googling 'ghostbusters ladies jumpsuit' brings up this and only this:
What the effing hell? Seriously!?!
Is there no integrity left for costume designers. Are they under the assumption that all ladies love to dress kinda slutty whenever a costume party arises. *headdesk*
This makes me sad. Way more sad than it should. It's just a costume (retailing for the frankly scandalous price of £34.99, given the minimal material involved) but for me, I just find it unsettling.
There's a group of guys and one girl who travel to conventions and dress up as the Ghostbusters, complete with scarily accurate looking proton packs. They're all wearing pants - even the chick.
Rant over...I think...
