My Legal Practice Course (aka LAWYER TRAINING) starts at the end of this month. Kinda early. I was expecting to start mid to late September, but it's not a big deal really.
I'm kinda excited about starting the course. I've got only 2 contact days a week at Chester, the rest is self-study, which I am down with! Fingers crossed I can sneak in a day at ERMs to continue to flesh out both my legal experience and my bank balance.
Chester also does a scheme where my LPC can be upgraded to a LL.M, by completing 3 extra modules and a 15 thousand word final assessment. Sounds like a lot, but I've got 5 years to do it and it'll save me £10 grand. The online learning aspect also means I could work towards a masters whilst doing my training contract.
I need to do a dummy run to Chester, to see how long it takes. At the very least there's a 30 min busride + a 40 minute train + walking times. I may need to be up and out very early on those two contact days.
I also realised today I've achieved all my new year resolutions for 2010. Go me!
