I’ve been meaning to write this all week, I just never got around to it. That’s because I’ve been working all week. So today I decided to take my laptop to work with me and write my post here. JJ
V. had her birthday on the 30th and she invited a bunch of us girls to get together and have some fun. We decided to go so a movie together again, after a really long time. We watched Flightplan with Jodie Foster and Sean Bean, along with Peter Sarsgaard. I liked it, it was a good movie with an interesting twist. (Yeah, like Jodie Foster ever appears in a sucky movie. :-P) Sean Bean was a good guy for a change, thinking more of the 400 people on the plane than himself (which was quite shocking, really. I kept thinking that at some point he’ll show his true colors and be the wonderful bad him that we all /most of us, anyway :-P/ know and love. Didn’t happen though… :-S But he was still wonderful. ::starry - eyed::). Peter Sarsgaard is on his way to a fabulous Hollywood career, I would say. Kat didn’t like his facial expression, but I would say that’s part of the charm and being a good actor. All in all, we weren’t disappointed.
The rest of the evening was fabulous, to say the least. I really have to say it again - it’s amazing that five girls that are all quite stubborn and such independent thinkers can get along so well. Spending time with all of you really is one of the most wonderful things in my life. Which probably means, I have no life, but what the heck. J Just kidding. :-P
Anyhoo, it really was great. A big thank you to Vera for putting it all together, to Mirka for taking us in and putting up with us till 3 in the morning. And a special thank you to V. from me, since she gave me a part of her B-day present. ;-) The perfume we got her, ‘Jean Reno loves you’ (which smells absolutely divine), comes with a ring. And since V. said she can’t fit it on her finger, she gave it to me. Which was just beyond nice and friendly. I ♥ U, V. ::big hugs:: J
I’d also like to say thank you to JJ, because she provided the bed for me and Kat, ‘cause we’re like, homeless now in Ljubljana. And I owe her a lot for other things as well, for putting things in perspective for me when I need that. And for putting up with me when I bug her at work with nonsense things. Thanks for being such a good bud. In fact, thanks to all of you guys for being who you are. Because you’re perfect that way.
(Sorry for getting a little mushy here, won’t happen again. Will go bitch at someone to get back in the gear.)
In other news - I watched four episodes of Lost on Monday (or was it Tuesday?). That never happened to me before, not even in the first season. But I wanted to see who dies (and how) and Ana Lucia’s story. And how Kate will accept her, since she won’t be the first bitch anymore (although she’s always gonna be a bitch to me - in a bad way. But I like Ana Lucia, so she a bitch in a good way :-P) And the whole Dharma Initiative plot is unraveling (although it seems that the more it unravels, the more it gets complicated). And Kat was right about Mr. Eko- he’s the epitome of uber-coolnes. He doesn’t talk much, but when he does, he says such deep and meaningful things that make others can it for a while. I really like that about him. He even makes Locke look like an amateur. He seems like he knows stuff - about the island or something that no one else knows. And he seems to see into the souls of people. He really is a mighty interesting character, I’d love to see his background story. In fact, I can’t wait for new episodes of Lost altogether. J
