Personal, Random, Rant

Feel free to ignore this post =)

Sooooooo as some of you might know I have successfully passed my A-Level exams. Which pretty much means I'm proud owner of the German Abitur. With that you can study at all German universities et cetra et cetra.
Well, except they won't let you.

I'm in a BIIIIG dilemma now. Turns out my depression screwed up my marks for the past year. Meaning I got terrible marks in subjects I used to be greeeat at. That's what depression does to you. You're decaying. You stop being
good at things you loved once. Isn't such a big problem for me because I know I'm not stupid. I know I could know
these things EASILY if last year hadn't been so tough for me. But does any of these stupid dumb &§$%&""$§$(% people who run firms and universities ask why I've got an C or an D in maths?
No, they assume I wasn't clever enough to understand what Pi is or how to integrate. Big BULL.

When I read what you need to be allowed to study on German universities then I want to burry myself under a
mountain of pillows.
First of all before they let you study ( I want to study Film & Television btw) you need to do some in-service training. Works for me! Seriously. It's all about practical knowledge.
Well until you reach the point where they won't let you in such firm!

You may have heard about the great division of Germany back in the 1950s to 1980s. The Berlin Wall fell in 1989 except sometimes it
feels like it's still there. I live in Eastern Germany. You can still feel the East versus West thingy. Mostly because Western people tend
to have more money and better jobs than we do. (We had to adjust to a new flippin economy for the past 20 years, of course it`s not
easy) Turns out that most of the great big German broadcasting companies like Prosieben or VOX have their HQs in- wow what a suprise!-
West Germany. The only  "decent" companies We've got here is the MDR. Lame old people's television programme, and Babelsberg in Berlin,
where they do Films and stuff. Every douchebag who wants to study Film & Television here will of course either go "over there" to the West
or try it @the MDR. So those guys have some tough requirements you have to fullfill. Take: drivers licence required, good marks in
physics and maths, good general knowledge, hands-on experience, the know-how etc etc.

As I said. I didn't have any good marks the past year and I don't have money either.
My mother is a hard working woman but in these days of  short time work and minimum wages for a
cleaning lady we don't have much money to buy a car or do the drivers licence which costsc1,000 €+ so easily.
I can't even earn more than 100€ per month either. STUPID STUPID STUPID country sometimes. Really.

It's like all those rich bastards get everything for nothing and poor bastards like me are forbidden to learn or study something "decent". If I was "stupid" or not "educated" enough I would understand that but seriously, it's not exactly like I've got absolutely NO talent at all is it?

I mean all I do is cut some fanvids but despite that it's not as easy as it looks. It takes vision and creativity and joy and interest. I REALLY want to do that for a living.  But sometimes it seems like society throws so many bricks at you that you simply can't. It's like you want to go diving and you've got all the equipment on you but then someone steps on your flippers and says you're wearing the wrong colour.

Ahhh now, that's it with the rant. I know I sound like a whiny kid but it needs to be said. It's not like I'm giving up either. I'm going to send them my applications (despite stupid marks last year, I'm not stupid you bastards -.-) and I'm going to show them how much passion there is in my little brain and how much I LOVE telling stories in visual form and then I'm going to kick them in the arse.

Stupid class distinction.

'Nuff said. =D
