Cristmas in Downtown Kennesaw

They had a parade in Downtown Kennesaw today. We unfortunately missed it but they had a really nice setup for the kids down there. The had a train ride, pony and horse rides, trees that different companies and organizations decorated, food,Starbucks was there passing our peppermint hot chocolate and peppermint mocha, arts and crafts, big balloon rides, balloon animals, and Santa. There was probably a lot more that we missed. By the train/ Civil war museum they had guys dressed in civil war era clothes with tents, time pieces one had a musket. There were three guys that were playing music. Abby loved the big drum. We finally got to go in to the caboose that sits outside the museum. It had tables, a wood burning stove, and an area that looked like it could be sleeping quarters.
We had a BLAST! Abby got to ride the train and a pony. The whole pony ride she had a death grip one the saddle and my sleeve. When her ride was over she was ready to get on the pony in front of her. We went to one of the arts and crafts booths and she colored a candy cane and they had tubes that you put powdered candy. On the tubes they have little lines hat you put the different colors in. Each color means something. It was then that I realized the booth was being run by a baptist church. she got a red balloon reindeer at another booth. Then we went and saw Santa and Mrs. Claus. Mrs. Clause looked a bit freaky with like doll and goth makeup. I was really proud of her. She didn't act up once while we were out.

She fell asleep about an hour ago. Hopefully she will stay asleep when we go to get Lenny.

abby, christmas
